She was the perfect choice after Stephen left. Even Alan knew that, hence why he decided to stay when he'd originally planned not to. I didn't think anyone could take over it, but she definitely did, and well. She shares the important aspects with him (comedy, intelligence, knowledge etc) whilst also being different to him and unique. Well done Sandi, and all those involved in her hire.

If Alan ever decided to leave QI, which I hope he doesn’t, then Susan should take his place as permanent guest (btw I don’t want Alan to leave because he is the heart of QI). Just like Alan was the perfect foil for Steven and Sandi, she is the perfect foil for Sandi (and Steven for a brief time). She is extremely intelligent but never fails to make me laugh with her antics. She definitely knows how to push Sandi’s buttons, drive her insane and have her in hysterics lol. Holly is also the best addition to QI since Sandi took over. Her and Susan together as a pair are brilliant.

@RHTeebs
@RHTeebs 3 жыл бұрын
@@Smoking_Joe In the original series of Star Trek from the 60s, the red shirts are usually engineering or security crew. Gold is command, and blue is science or medical. Although red and yellow would swap places later on. That's if you watch The Next Generation, Deep Space 9, or Voyager. In original star trek, the red shirts are known for always dying. If Captain Kirk went down to a planet with a red shirt crew member, that red shirt would most likely not come back alive. So, red shirts are a bit of a joke. If you're a red shirt in star trek, you're probably going to die.

@@goldenpony822 The Klaxon would indicate an incorrect answer or common misconception. Conservation of momentum means that, if there was no external force acting upon you, you would stay at your current velocity. In space, the only force you'd have to worry about is gravity, so as long as you're far away enough from anything with significant mass, you would not slow down. As Alan is saying that they'll slow down, he's incorrect, so there's a klaxon.

When I was a senior in high school (1996), I was a followspot operator for a community theatre production of Joseph. Haven’t listened to the soundtrack since then, but this smacked me right in the auditory memory center. 😆 Also remembering now that I took to wearing one glove throughout the performances because my spot was on constantly for the entire show (sans intermission, of course) and one of the handles got overheated.

I can absolutely sympathise with the tapes in cars! Ours was a live album from Simon and Garfunkel. Don't get me wrong, it's a great album, it just gets a bit tiring when you're listening to Bridge Over Troubled Water for fifth time on a 7 hour car journey.

My Dad used to play Neil Diamond's "Hot August Night" on every family trip. As much as I liked it, I remember a trip my sister and I sang JANHATDC over the top of it with me doing harmony for many kilometres.
