He plays up the stereotype of the fat idiot, but I think anyone who watches these panel shows can see he's smart as a whip. I think it's less that he doesn't let on he's smart and more that his brand of comedy takes self deprecation to the extreme.

Oh man you cut out the part where Aisling made a brilliant joke about Shin Kicker’s wives on Channel 4 “You can see Do they have a Channel 4 programme called Shin-Kickers' Wives? Where they're like, "Oh, my God, "he's making so much money kicking shins. "I love him. "I don't like his personality, but it's just the money.” Lol. The part about where the origins of the phrase “Stickler for detail.” came from. The difference between Shin Kicking in the north and the Cotswolds. Finally the Shin Kickers Association of Britain (SKAB). Lol.

I think it's mainly due to genetic reasons (if one excludes child birth). I don't think shin kicking was responsible of many fatalities.

As kids we played a stupid violent game called Burnout where two idiots take turns punching each other on the shoulder as hard as they can until one of them ( me ) whimpers in pain and defeat .

We played 'knuckles' where you both lay your fist against the jagged brick wall and the opponent tries to wrap the knuckles but you can move in time and they scrape the skin off there finger joints. Good times.

I grew up playing bloody knuckles (take turns punching each other in the fist) and quarters (take turns... essentially sliding a quarter across a smooth surface like a school desk into each other's knuckles). I think every group of males has a stupid game where you just hurt each other until someone yells uncle. lol

That's something that needs reviving. It would get the kids off their consoles & into the parks for properly supervised shin kicking events, might even lure kids away from gangs. Men having an argument that would ordinarily lead to a fight, take them outside & grease them up. It could end war, thousands of men on a battlefield greased up & kicking. This is the future.

In the US, this would be forced to be subtitled. I like the dialects and accents in all of QI, but closed captions or at least subtitles would be amazing. If QI wants me to subtitle, i will, but i need every QI XL ever. I predict it will take a year-ish. done by July 4th, 2022 - Deal?
