Well done Essa, he could have given a yes or no then he wouldn't have pushed you to bring out the evidences before he could accept. TRRC is a school and Gambians must pay attention to it. Follow and learn from the proceedings.

Just by folding his hands and the mimics on his face shows that he is not ready to let the truth flow. It is a shame that a man of his caliber and position is behaving like this. The truth shall set you free.

Even in this new democratic dispensation in the Gambia, high position holder like Deputy inspector general of the Gambia force still believes in TORTURING THE SUSPECTS FIRST and the force them to falsely accept things that they dont do.

Demba Sowe DID NOT torture anyone. End of story. It is not Demba Sowe's job to get himself killed by Yahya Jammeh ... and Essa Faal would have done EXACTLY the same as Demba Sowe if Jammeh ordered him to.

Very sad that the deputy inspector general of the Gambia force didn't know the meaning torture nor did he knows the difference between torture and beaten. Very very sad indeed to have such type of person being holding high position. Beaten is the same as torture. But some of security persons didn't know that. A torture is inflicting pain and Suffering onto someone. A torture is deliberately and systematic dismantling of a person's identity and humanity through physical or psychological pain and suffering. The above is the definition of torture. Seriously, Gambia government under Adama Barrow is not doing any single SECURITY REFORM. Absolutely not

He is a lair! I have a case at police headquaters but I can tell you he sent officers to my house with no warrant for arrest and they assaulted my American wife. These criminals are still doing the same all criminal and corrupted activities violation my rights many times this is just 6 months ago. Civil case they get paid and turn it into criminal. He should be fired. He still at the highest position in law inforcement. Sowe and others at police head quarters are corrupted. I have evidence if Essa Faal is listening. They have not be rehabilitated!!! I'm going to Sue!!!!! Look at his face lieing!!!! Goddamn this country if we don't start being honest. Every system depends on honesty. Investigate the Fraud Office and the whole police headquarters.

Essa, the INVESRIGATION PANEL was lawful - to investigate a coup; the torturing with which Mr. Sowe had nothing to do, was illegal. That is what the witness means by lawful and unlawful.

Alahuakbar Education!!! Mr Faal got him jumping in his chair, he’s body language says it all. Arm crossing, involuntary touching his face, closing his eyes, Avoiding direct eye contact, laughing these are all signs of a lair. He’s so ashamed and cold

Counsel 's tactics is confrontational and threatening. He should be more diplomatic . He keeps repeating the same questions ' thus wasting time.Looks like he has an agenda.

@@madalfadiallo3317 I think his agenda is just to get the truth out of them. Am sure before Sowe was called he was thoroughly investigated. As he knows that he is trying to run around the clock that’s what Essa knows. Besides all the lawyers I’ve ever met ask questions this way. 🤷♀️

Essa is trying to accuse the witness himself! He was NOT doing anything illegal by being a panel member. If there was torture to make the witness statements unlawful, that is a matter for the court.
