I remember that I played this game months and months non stop so I could win Xaero on nightmare without an effort. I could predict everything he did and could railgun him at any point. Pure teenage fanatic.😃

I also won in nightmare mode when I played back in 2003. I won in all the maps and full of bots .. You had to be madly fast otherwise another bot would have won before you ... That is the real nightmare mode!

I just bought this game on ebay. I was born in '02 so I couldn't really enjoy the game while it was fresh but I only recently started playing it on internet (quakejs) and I think now it's the time to fully appreciate it and get the full experience with an old windows 98 machine

I have many recorded games from 2003-2004 (FFA and CTF mostly) from Western European servers (not against bots). Lots of fun. Maybe I'll upload some for nostalgia. Those were the days...

accuracy seems pretty good.but i did not expect not to see some strafe jumping and rocket jumps tho. just casual aiming. also nicely done not making them really use the rail against you. doom is actually quite accurate with it.

DAAYYUMM I miss that game... Back when there was no rando grenades, flash bangs, riot shields or any of that crap. Just straight up shoot the other guy, next.

I used to play on this map against Xaero, Major and Hunter, all of them are badass with machineguns. Difficulty was sky high! And I also remember that Doom is really good at making you eat those rockets...

I am so relaxed after knowing it was quake 3 I had only blurry memory of this map. It took me whole 1 night to go through each era's game and map.

I was born after this game was released, but I really like old games like Doom and Quake.

I used to fire 10-15 machinegun shots and then fire with railgun to make my life easier.

When you hit those pads, if you shot the rail gun as you hit it, you'd hit the roof of the map and the side walls.. you'd snipe the person mid flight, hit the wall with a rail gun bounce & hit them on the spawn, on your way back 😂

When the video game bots say stuff and you just kill them anyway and watch them move odd for half a second so you start typing to fuck with them

I never understood why Quake 3's audio was so crackly. I own the original boxed versions of both Quake 3 and Team Arena. Grew up playing them on Windows and just recently switched to Linux and I at first thought it was a Linux problem then I remembered it's always been this way lol.

Wow I remember playing this the 2001 or so using 56k dial up modem with 140 ping hahahaa good times :) I even kick ass in that time winning lot of matches. Later on got dsl and used a old dell to host game. Wow what a fun time. :)

I used to be a total nightmare to the bots as well. All the tricks become automatic and the bots don’t stand a chance. Try being this good with UT3 though, the bots are more of a challenge but it’s do-able.

Why dont you choose some railgun bot like klesk or sth?

Select major for bot and see what the true nightmare is.

well, it is nice to see at 6:18- 6:20 how your targeting is "jumping" quickly from bad one to precise one... More places visible in video like this. Typical for guess what? ;-) And so careful selection of bots.... Try IDDQD, it is for people like you....
