BOM and other details:
(1) Using OL176WI Glossy, Waterproof sticker paper from OnlineLabels.com - This paper and the Neato labels kinds are the only two that survived the dishwasher of 10 different kinds of vinyl sticker paper that I tried. It's very good stuff. The Neato Super Gloss paper is almost as good in the dish washer (not quite as good), and is about the same price, but does not come in a nice protective case, so is more likely to be damaged.
(2) Produced an ICC color profile for the Canon Pro-1000 printer using an Epson Perfection V850 Pro scanner and SilverFast 9 calibration software and an IT8 Advanced calibration target. This allows me to have color-accurate prints that match or exceed Canon's own pre-calibrated paper according to my testing. This color calibration unlocks full 1200 PPI print resolution as well.
(3) Laminated with UV-protective Oraguard 236 that uses water-based adhesive for better clarity than most other lamination films. This is much better than Avery and other cold lamination because it provides UV protection and looks about 3x more clear in direct light.
(4) Lamination applied with a large high-pressure manual cold laminator roller. I tried 3 different automated laminators before giving up and doing it by hand. No longer have any issues with bubbles or dust, and it allows me to laminate posters and is much faster and easier and cheaper than automated laminators. It's important to blow on the sticker paper to clear dust right before lamination to keep that off during the process. One thing I forgot to mention in the video is that after using the laminator it is important to loosen rollers so they do not deform.
(5) Cut on a Silhouette Cameo 4. I've tried the Cricut as well, and found this to be significantly cheaper and higher quality in both hardware and software. For example, the Cricut software cannot print at 1200 PPI, while the Silhouette Studio has no trouble with that.
