I totally agree! I always thought it was funny when Al would slap the crap out of Ziggy -- or threaten to do so -- whenever Ziggy chose to be even more capricious or stubborn or temperamental than usual, especially since Ziggy would respond with a piteous little electronic cry of protest.

I've made a habit of naming all my smartphones Ziggy after the handlink -- I even sometimes give them a little slap upside the edge of the case when they're being particularly capricious or stubborn or temperamental and won't do as they're told, just as Al sometimes slaps Ziggy. I wish that someone would create an app that runs in the background and makes occasional Ziggy noises when you tap on the keys (and complains when you're too rough, just like the handlink complains when Al gives it a slap). I did play with the two Ziggy apps that people created for Android smartphones -- The Ziggy Handlink (which does make Ziggy complain when you slap your phone) and Ziggy Droid -- but neither one of them completely delivered what I was hoping for.

I came looking for the effects with that exact same thought about the app. This one’s missing the bunch of beeps going off as he shakes it.

That's because he saved Al's Marriage altering the timeline and being trapped in the defunct one.

well the japanese did somthing kind of similar when it came to their sound design, buttons usually sounded somewhat cartoonish. i guess they just wanted somthing that stood out

​@@ViewpointProd Classical Japanese sound design was special. Nothing sounds "realistic", but everything somehow has tremendous energy behind it and everything is very expressive. You just get the feel that something could, in an exaggerated way, produce those sounds. The reliance on western libraries is pretty strong now, but plenty of the cool and out-worldly effects are still around for more 'fantastical occasions'.
