For those wondering if it will work with your radio that has no IQ out, there are 2 methods to interface, if your radio has IF out like the Xeigu X5105 the set the IF to out on X5105 , move both jumpers on the back to the other pins, connect to RF in and enter your IF frequency (70.455 MHz for X5105) you may need to make your own cable depending on your radio or you may have to take IF from inside your radio. You can then setup your cat controls and IF offset (I have not figured this out on X5105 yet , maybe a firmware update on spectrum may be needed so we can type in the Frequency)or manually tune your radio. The other method to connect if you have something like a uSDR/uSDX/TruSDR etc is to take the IQ from inside the radio and root this to the Spectrums IQ input. You can also use the Spectrum as a radio receiver by connecting a bandpass filter to the Spectrums RF in and antenna to your filter, set jumpers for RF in ,i tested with MFJ-1040C Transceiver Preselector and some homemade filters

Very nice unit! I'm currently cobbling together a Pi based bandscope with a 7" screen, to work with my FTdx3000 which has a rather poor one built in. Meanwhile, I'm making do with a little Malachite receiver connected to the IF out and tuned to 9MHz, which makes a surprisingly good panadapter! But it's nice to see high quality, out of the box solutions come to market.

How does it work with the Yaesu ft450d? I have that radio. Does it have the waterfall display support?

@@m3snusteve You just connect the Spectrum DSP to the IF output or antenna via an SDR switch, and optionally the CAT port. It has a CAR bridge to support PC applications and FT-8.

I recommend connecting an external powered speaker and using the Spectrum as the DSP audio device and muting the G90

Are you suggesting that eventually they will have cables to interface this device with my 15 year old Yeasu FT 847 ?

I imagine it could be made to work with virtually any rig, providing you can access the IF output (surgery possibly required) or use an external antenna SDR switch. I even tapped the IF of my TS-440 and TS-520.

You can just connect the Spectrum to the IF and optionally CAT port of any transceiver, or directly to the antenna via one of those $40 SDR antenna switches.
