There’s probably not more than a handful of men in the world that could design and hand build a house from scratch with that level of skill and knowledge. A rare individual.

This guy is amazing. It's hard to imagine just one person doing all this. It would be great if someone could get him for an interview, and to maybe talk about how he approaches a project like this.

Excellent work, not to mention video. In 1981 I did the exact same thing ( building by myself ) my first house. 101 days from the excavation, until September 28th ( it was raining ) when my wife and I, moved our old furniture, into our new house. Need I say it was quite an adventure.

Love the design of the roof grid pattern with vertical going up the roof and then horizontal ones on top. Any water that gets in will hit the subroof and run out underneath the tiles. Brilliant. I have seen so many tile roofs fail miserly because they didn’t follow this design.

I respect the person who built this house.　That's amazing.

I clicked on this video thinking "yeah right, one guy did the entire rebuild?!?! I thought I'd see tons of people helping lift things but no.. he really did it all himself!! I bought a house about 10 years ago planning on rehabbing it but after 6 months of lead paint, asbestos and a crumbling foundation I sold it. Somehow, I even got my entire investment back. That's the last time I tried that!

What a quality home he has created. It will be very comfortable through all seasons and will last for many generations to come, barring any more fires! Although, I could never afford to build that quality in my home here in the states. A house built that well and that size would run around $600,000.00 or more dollars.

As expected, he is the best man who can build new construction by himself.

WOW it’s better built then the one that stood there before. New better modern materials, I’m surprised there’s no solar panels or he didn’t put under floor heating throughout the entire house. Everything is so well done to perfectionist standard. Are those salvaged doors from the old house on the pantry cupboard? The whole place is just amazing. I always wondered why homes built in snowy countries don’t have double entrances. An outer door into a small space or mud room and a interior front door to keep the heat in better. But what a lucky woman she is, she married a man who built her a home and made it beautiful and extraordinary. 😊 the decking is fantastic, you can even BBQ in the winter. 😅what a beautifully built and gorgeous home❣️congratulations 🎉 now you need a couple dogs 🐕. 😊
