During our fifth week of the quarantine we decided to camp for a week at our local KOA. Just a change of scenery for us and also have some good BBQ!This video is just a highlight of different cooks I did throughout the week there, including a little Monkey ride around the park and down to the Bay. We did some grilled burgers, steaks, seafood, chicken, and pork.

We have a 4lb Prime Rib going int he oven today. I'm not smoking that bad boy, and I'm not going to do it on the grill either. Just being safe with it. :) Something to do with your meats...get them out of the fridge about an HOUR before cooking. Let them get up to room temp. It took my steaks to a whole new level. Also, Kroger sells a Garlic-Parmesean seasoned butter that is AMAZING on it. It's also amazing on Salmon (a pat of that on the salmon with some Chesapeake Bay or Old Bay seasoning...oh...and cook that on a cedar plank...AMAZING.

I have always has luck pulling my ribeyes and filets at 128 degrees and let rest for about 15 minutes. If you set the steaks out about a half hour to an hour after you season (salt and pepper only) them, let them warm up to room temp (60-65degrees) before you cook. You will not be disappointed. 450degrees on big green egg. Royal oak real charcoal.
@AbomAdventures
@AbomAdventures 4 жыл бұрын
I don’t agree with the “let them get to room temp” idea. Leave your steaks in the fridge until ready to cook. The cool meat helps fo keep that center at the perfect medium rare while you get the sear.
@dilloneudy9829
@dilloneudy9829 4 жыл бұрын
Abom Adventures the reason I’ve been a fan is for the sear. I don’t cook every steak like that. But if I have a 16oz Wagyu Ribeye I will. This just helps me to not burn the crust while trying to let the internal temp get to 128. I think it helps and it add sometime to my cook. (Which is my relaxation.) I’m a big fan of your videos by the way. You have taught me a thing or two that’s for sure. For the record my wife and I recently purchased a 2020 Jayco 317RLOK. So I’ve been watching tons of camping videos over the last few months looking for tips and tricks. I was glad to see your adventures Channel! I’m in the pipeline business and I’ve been looking for ideas on a smoker trailer. I have a 6’ long 24” dia. 3/8” wall cut off. I would be interested to know your opinion on doing a offset reverse flow or conventional offset smoker. Keep up the good work!! P.s I wasn’t trolling you. I after reading my comment it might have read as being a pointed comment. Thanks, Dillon - East Texas
