I love the calm nature of Paula. She reminds me of my mother. A very good cook, loved her children, grandchildren, and family..and was humble and kind. You can’t go wrong with that combination. I miss my mother so very much - Paula is such a joy to watch everyday..She helps ease the pain of my loss..❤️

Thank you for the recipe on making these! We have Amish north of us and I have been going there to buy fry pies (we are in Ohio and they even have Buckeye fry pies-chocolate and peanut butter-yum!) There was a shop hop yesterday and it involved different stores. So I stocked up on the fry pies that were left at the store. Went to another store and there was a Norpro Large Dough Press. I bought it with the idea of making my own fry pies. So, I didn’t have a recipe on how to make them and of course looked it up on the internet. I have an air fryer so I can make them myself. Thank you Miss Paula for the directions! I have missed your cooking shows and watching this brought back many memories. THANK YOU!!!

Some people in my neck of the woods love to go blackberry picking, and they spend almost all day doing it. I can remember my grandma making blackberry dumplings. She made them on top of the stove and made them the same way like you would chicken and dumplings. They were so good. So, if anyone out there likes to pick blackberries, be careful and try not to get scratched. Watch out for critters, too. 😊

My mom made fried apple and peach pies a lot when I was young. These seem like they would bring back memories of those. When we didn't have fruit she would make them with brown sugar inside. So good

I have made the pies, but I take the whole triangle, filling on top, then put another triangle on it and crimp the edges with a fork. Then put the icing on top of that. Mine are much bigger. lol Maybe I should try downsizing and then I could have them more often. lol

I was not sure about a air fryer. But got one and love it. I will cook anything I can in it. Just make sure you get a large enough one to use.

Just takes a little getting use to but the food is cooked quickly and I get a nice crust on home made chicken nuggets or tenders, also french fries and today for lunch I cooked frozen fish fillets in 10 min. (excellent) I have also cooked salmon fillets and haddock, blueberry muffins so many recipes still waiting to try. Everything is an experiment for this 72 years old. At least no greasy fried food anymore. I bought a smaller size AF since there is just the 2 of us but wish now I had a larger size basket to do multiple foods together.

My Granny always made delicious fried apple, peach, strawberry and chocolate hand pies when I was growing up. I make them for my family on occasion. I usually drizzle them with powdered sugar and milk mixed together or just a sprinkling of white sugar. I have got to get an Air Fryer!

Growing up the lady that helped my mom raise 5 kids made these weekly. But she made the dough from scratch. Just like her biscuits. We call them apple turnovers. We lived in small town in Eastern NC. I've seen them called apple pies and apple fritters. Any other names? I guess what you call them depends on where you are from. I can't wait to try this much easier recipe in my air fryer in the summer and put ice cream on top! Lol Paula do you have a empanada recipe using microwave for the meat and air fryer for the dough?

I've been thinking about making some with refrigerated pie dough. I would cut circles and fold in half--I have a set of those plastic cutter/crimpers (I think they are called dumpling presses) in various sizes. It would be easier to seal. I don't know what they've done to the crescent rolls but they don't taste like they used to.

Could you do a meat pie recipe for air fryer..bakery near me sells them if you get up early enough on sat...i think its a lebanese recipe ..not sure so good
