Paula, I just have to tell you about Aldi's mayonnaise. We've always loved Duke's mayonnaise (my whole family did) but when Aldi came to town I decided to try it out and let me tell you it is just as good, if not better, than Duke's mayonnaise! My brother would not eat anything but Duke's mayonnaise, so I put Aldi mayonnaise in an empty Duke's jar and he never noticed the difference! I kid you not. It is a little bit thicker than Duke's mayonnaise but that is the only difference I can tell. Try it I'll bet you like it. And it's so much cheaper!

Was crying today from loneliness during this virus mess. It's just me and my precious dog. I miss my kids and grandkids so very badly. At 65 I can't risk having anyone over. I received the cookbook she’s using as a gift a few years ago. It’s one of my absolute favorites, and I keep it on my kitchen counter. I tell everyone, Paula never steers me wrong! The apple cake recipe is one of everyone’s favorites. I add a brown butter frosting to it. I've made this twice now in the last 3 weeks.......it is amazing!!!!! Those caramelized Vidalias bring a wonderful flavor to this dip! My family loves it with wheat thins, I tried it on a piece of toasted rye bread and wanted to eat the whole loaf like that! Thank you so much for this great recipe Paula!

I made this!! OMG, talk about DELICIOUS! I had never bought Vidalia onions before because they don't sell them here in the stores here in Oregon so I asked my friend Michelle, who lives in Georgia, to buy some and ship them to me here in Oregon! A week later I was able to make this recipe and boy was it yummy 😋😋🌰🌰

Oh how I love a similar dip to this (1 sweet onion, 1 cup swiss grated, 1 cup Hellmann's mayo), but this sounds like an upgrade. Can't wait to try!

I made this dip last week. I halved the recipe, and although I was skeptical of the pecans I put them on half. I wish I would have put them on the whole thing. This dip really is incredible! From the flavor to the texture. It’s company worthy for sure!!

Ms. PAULA has never particularly resonated with me until this period of time. She exhibits the warmth and grace of the South. Not the"bless her heart" sort of disingenuous graciousness, but sincere born-in kindness. I came to respect and appreciate this while living in the South. I'm a northerner by blood, but this sincerity and emotive generosity is exactly what we are lacking and Ms. PAULA gives tirelessly while facing fears herself. Folks, she is not teaching us how to cook, she is showing us how to handle crisis in a practical way, giving us hope for better days to come and doing it while taking care of those who have taken care of her all these years.

I just love watching Paula, she seems like such a sweet lady. I'm am not much of a cook, but sure am going to try this recipe out. I watch for your videos every day.

Creamy Caesar dressing, mixed 50-50 with Herdez Guacamole Salsa Verde, medium.....Great spicy dip/dressing.....Will add finely chopped sweet onions next time!!...

Paula got a delicious 3 ingredients warm Mexican dip. 1 8oz. Softened cream cheese 1 medium size Pace Picante sauce Cheese of your choice. Layer cream cheese in pan. Next layer picante Cover with cheese. Pop in 350 oven until cheese is melted and dip is warmed thru. Yummy with Tostitos scoops. I usually have to make a double batch.

I might convert you, Paula. In Imperial, California they grow the Imperial Sweet Onions. These onions rarely make it out of the area, because the people in the area buy them in huge quantities. I found they are even better than Vidalia.

Here in Texas we have the 10/15 onions. They are sweet and they are huge (but not as big as those strawberry onions you have, Miss Paula. I've never seen onions that big! lol). We also grow some good sweet potatoes, especially around Gilmer in East Texas. I've really enjoyed your quarantine videos. I'll buy your Southern Table cookbook and add to my library along with your other cookbooks that I've bought over the years.

The cookbook stand and her hat can be purchased on her website. The website is quite good, but the products need descriptions below the pictures, what the spoons are made of (for example) sizing, etc.
