I've seen Mamluks colonise a fair bit. I played a bunch in SE Asia recently, mostly trying to get a decent Majapahit game going, and in roughly a quarter of the games the Mamluks would turn up with some colonies at some point. The one that made me really laugh is when the Ottomans decided to get in on it. Got real anxious about it until I realised that they didn't have a way to get their massive navy around Africa to stop me occupying their colonies.

idk about you guys, but i feel like every eu4 video i watch is just playing as nation and eventually winning one war against the ottoboys -- releasing byz and bulgaria, maybe eretena or karaman -- repetitive gameplay. but hey, i like this iroquois video. finally a bit of differentiation in content from other creators. and i'd like to point out... after he got his massive new world power base he could've done the very same thing and released toulouse, gascony, catalonia, valencia, byz, bulgaria and done some smashing of the regions which typically produce some of the most powerful nations.
