The Gold is in the quartz. Dig where it is visible. Then you will have success. Follow the vein contact whatever is most Gold dig jack hammer there follow it down.

Its like the gold where I live in the north island of New Zealand, just invisible gold in quartz veins, the old timers crushed it and separated on kind of shaker table and used mercury but only got about 60%, then later they leached the tailings with cyanide and got the other 40%. They still mine it now but only using the cyanide method.
@myadventure7069Ай бұрын
Cyanid is the only way to recover that gold . Another way I try use week aqua regia , but then you losing silver, those rocks have silver too
@adambrewer9182Ай бұрын
@@myadventure7069 Do you think the silver is still in the rocks after your weak aqua regia? Maybe you could try some weak sulphuric with potassium nitrate to make a nitric solution and get the silver.

Wish I had quartz veins like that near me. In some of your earlier videos you mentioned that sodium nitrate is only good for testing but not for large batches. No need for nitric acid to make weak aqua regia solution for leaching right? Also, if using sulfuric acid to clean rocks once the solution is filtered does iron nails really precipitate gold?
@myadventure7069Ай бұрын
Don’t start with copper and iron nails !!!! Any nitrate is god for aqua regia . One spoon nitrate can dissolve 10 grams of gold .nitric acide is good when you refining a lot of gold . Rocks don’t have a lot of gold so you don’t need strong acids . And another think if you working with the rocks first you must remove all visible gold, gold always have silver and silver don’t dissolve in aqua regia.after you don with leaching Chek your sand for gold if you don’t found gold then everything ok but if you found visible gold that means you need make fresh aqua regia and repeat the leaching

I'm in North Carolina, all the gold mines and mine dumps are condensed not far apart compared to Arizona or California or Nevada, first authenticated gold discovery in in 1799 was here, it started the gold Rush in USA, if u see grey rocks and appear heavy oh my, it may be Telluride's of silver and gold, tellurium has an affinity for the metals below hydrogen which are all precious, when u make stannous chloride, keep it in a dark bottle, God bless

Also how would u deal with sulfide gold ore. Can you oxidize safely with weak acid. Trying to figure a way without roasting the sulfides

I have lots of high grade sulfide ore can see lots of pyrites golden colour throughout. But having trouble with converting the sulfides to oxides as I don't really want to roast. I have been concentrating the rich sulfides and adding a light spray of water then putting outside for month or so trying to naturally oxidize as I would prefer a more environmentally friendly way than to roast
