Install an old MMI screen and use one of those old AUdi back up cameras, cool video to look at the audi back up camera and see how it works. I know it should be an AV camera nothing that hard

Your videos are awesome. Thanks for the time you put in. I have a 2011 A5 and my MXW transmission got damaged in an accident. Do I need vcds to install the replacement or can I just bolt up and be good to go?

Needs coded through Audi portal will have gearbox malfunction

If the mechatronic is still good, can I swap it from my original transmission to the transmission I'm putting in to the car, leaving the computer thinking the original transmission is still present?

@@kraigsmart1523 yes as far as I know that will work but I haven’t done it yet. Transmissions in these quattros are just about bulletproof I’ve never changed one out and never even change the fluid and I’ve had some of them over 220k already. Plus I tow with my q5 and a4 states away picking up dead audis

@@NaptownTuner The transmission casing got busted at the mount due to the accident. I will try swapping the mechatronic out. Thanks for the replies!

can you use a tow bar and just have it on neutral?

Not with all wheel drive plus the engine would need to be running while towing in neutral to supply the transmission with lubricant

@@JEFFERYSBACKMFS if you’re talking about flat towing like they do behind an rv that needs special equipment hooked up so not practical unless you’re towing the same car all the time then like I said it needs to be running. Yes it’s best to tow on a flat trailer
