Back by popular demand- you all have requested it countless times, so without further ado… here he is… Max is back! Enjoy this video as he assists Jose for the day!
Commercial Beekeeper and Queen Breeder, Jose Uribe, takes you along with him for an eventful day! The day begins with Jose and Max packaging a single order of Qty (2) queens for a customer on an off-shipping day of the week. We usually only ship on Mondays but this is an exception. Jose shares how he takes the queens from the queen bank and transfers two of them from the California Mini Cages into a 3-hole cage with attendants.
These queens were grafted on a special grafting stand that we kindly received from a viewer- James McNally. We absolutely love this stand and use it religiously! James also has a KZfaq channel, so be sure to check him out!
After packaging the queens, Jose & Max open a special shipment from Pierco, a trusted beekeeping supply store located in Southern California. We are beyond excited get these double waxed, deep foundation frames plugged into our colonies in Plumas County! If you haven’t tried these frames before, they are a must! Check out the link below!
From there, Jose & Max head off to ship the queen order through UPS and then briefly stop in at the bee supply store to fill up on 50-gallons of syrup.
