I thought the beast beneath the board was Rhaenys and her dragon exploding from under the floor of the dragon pit when Aegon was crowned King to go tell Rhaenyra that her crown has been stolen by the Greens. That’s why Helena said it again with more urgency when they were looking for Aegon the day King Viserys died.

I think her prophecy needs time to actually happen, it reads future. The time she mentioned aemond's eye to the time it actually happen takes months (or years, I'm not sure). The movie's timeline makes it feels quick. So the time they had supper and she said 'beware the beast beneath the board' I think she refers to rhaenys' dragon. But this time, when she mentioned another 'beast beneath the board' she might refer to the next tragedy, the blood and cheese. I think that's also the reason when she mentioned it at the supper, she said it just like a soft reminder, she might know that they'll still be fine because rhaenys won't burn them that time. She sounded frantic when she mentioned it the second time, maybe because she knows that it will be her tragedy

I feel like her gift cannot be used for her own benefits, that would make her too op, but to know others future. If she known her own future she would always be a few steps ahead.

I think it's Blood and Cheese If you know you know It could be referring to the dragon that busted up from the ground I know it's a nit pick I just think of boards as referring to a house or a home....It seems like she is referring to a danger that is going to rise up from inside the house...either somebody sneaking in or some sort of betrayal.

"...beyond the boards" means a part of the house, so it has to do with the rats being focused since episode 4, when Rhaenyra escaped. I never read the book buy I always thought it's the rats and Larys.

I believe her character is based on Cassandra of Homer’s Iliad Who had the gift and curse of prophecy. She could tell the future but no one believed her.

With the rats being prevalent in multiple scenes it made me think, what attracts rats? Blood and Cheese. Maybe they were signifying the death creeping on Viserys, or possibly the Targaryen family itself. The beauty of it is its open to the individual I guess

What if the beast is King Jaehaerys Dragon Vermithor ? The one Daemon sings to ? And the rider Hugh Hammer ? Daemon knows where he is and the boards may be reference to under neath , not actual boards. But if Vermithor is around Kings landing still I would THINK he would know where to find him. He is the 3rd largest dragon, but now 2nd that the black dread has passed. He is almost as big as Vaeghar.

The actress who plays Helena said that it is in fact about Maelys beneath the boards in the dragon pit at Aegons coronation. She said she is meant to be a dreamer in the show. If you'll notice she doesn't even flinch when the Maelys comes through the boards because she already knew it would happen and that they were not going to die. It's been confirmed in an interview with the actress.

I think the showrunners want us to think the beats beneath the boards is just Maelys, but that’s just a red herring. The real beast beneath the boards is Blood and Cheese.

I know a lot of us saw that interview where she says the beast beneath the boards is Rhaenys and Meleys but I'm convinced that was a misdirect she was instructed to say. Like they actually told her to deceive you to keep the hype for next season. They've invited cast members who's characters were already dead to be in set just to throw off fans. no reason this isn't more of that.

Prophecy is often spoken loosely because fate isn't certain and there is wide swaths of deviation from center due to free will of millions. I often use prophecy to see things which tends to be calming to me due to the spider web of continual cause and effect.

Gotta say, the casting of the aged up characters was good for Rhaenyra, Alicent and Aemond, but the rest is f'ing atrocious. The older versions are generally only a few years older but they replace the younger actor with someone that looks nothing like them beyond skin complexion or hair colour. Aegon's recent character switch went from classic sharp, aqualine targaryan features to round, cherub face all of a sudden. There must have been a few good actors with better matched features surely?
