I was a 14 year old tourist in London in 1988 and my uncle told me wave wave so I waved at this old lady in a car and she waved back to me. It was the Queen Mother!!! God rest her soul!!

Because my uncle who was giving me a tour said "wave wave"!! I asked him "who is this granny"? and he told me the Queen's mother!! I said "does the Queen has a mother? she is a granny herself!!" Through a 14year olds eyes the Queen was always...old and having a mother still alive seemed completely weird!! I didn't think anything much at the time though..

I am an African American, born in the year 1970. Do not know of the royals but what I see through the lenses of the media. However, the late Queen Mother had such a charming and compassionate look to her face. Everytime I see her I felt a connection to her. She seemed approachable, down-to-earth, kind, and warm.

Thank you for providing this video. I am an american and a longtime admirer of the Queen Mother. I've studied her history thoroughly over the past few years and I feel as though I know her. Another great witness to the significant historical events and individuals of the twentieth century has passed on. I don't know how her daughter, Queen Elizabeth endured the grief of losing both her sister and her mother within such a short period of time.

I loved Princess Diana but I cannot believe the turnout for our beloved Queen Mother who devoted her entire life to her people. Where are the crowds for her? She who's husband died when he was made king and the pressure of that job all became to much for this shy man to cope with. Not to mention her loyal duty to her daughter our present Oueen Elizabeth the 2nd. Its all very sad when people forget what she and her husband did for this country during the War. The steadfast stance to stay in London when it was being blitzed! stating my people are suffering so we will suffer along side them. This lady deserved fat more...and frankly I am appalled at the poor turnout for her since I thought she was loved.. What on Earth?!!

April 9th will be a very hard day for her. Not only does it mark the day of her mother's funeral, but also the date of Prince Philip's passing. ~~👑😔🇬🇧😔👑~~ Queen Mother was 101 years Queen Elizabeth ll was 74 at the time of her mother's passing. 12 days shy of her 75th birthday. In only 3 days from today April 21, 2021. HM The Queen will be 95 years old. Her first birthday w/o her father, sister, mother and husband. She'll be alone without her consort, companion, best friend and confidant. Without her loving husband for the first time in 73 years. 👑😔🇬🇧😔👑 May God give her strength during this very difficult time.

You can download the Order of service for her funeral Liturgy online. And also in church the 'songs' are know as hymns or anthems sung by the choir.

Wallis was a patsy to get him off the stage - read her letters asking him not to abdicate. Why did Wallis Simpson write letters, all the way up to his abdication speech, asking him not to abdicate? Why did he do it anyway?

The story that they passed on state secrets may or may not be true, but they certainly met with Hitler and were attracted by the Nazi regime. It would not have been good fro him to have been crowned King. He came to the throne for a few months, so that he goes down in History as KIng, but the Coronation never took place.
