I love this version. For a while, the "Made in Heaven" album in 1995 was the last "new" stuff we heard from Freddie & Queen. Brian's version(s) feel more raw, and it's about Brian's life choices and problems of the time when it was written... This feels perfect. Both versions appeal to me in different ways.

I think that this is the definitive version, Freddie brings out all the emotion here, I feel every word.

On a base level I like Freddie’s version better because his voice is incomparable to me, but Brian sang with such emotion in his version about a real experience he went through. That definitely adds something special to his, as he also wrote the lyrics.

Yup. No one can do a song justice the way Freddie can. Rog was asked why he didn’t sing more of the songs he wrote and replied, “bc when you have Freddie Mercury available, you just stand back and hand him the mic” (paraphrase) However, in this particular instance this is brians pain and his emotion is very powerful

Well I don't think we need to talk about Frddie and his vocals, but this song heartbreaking when Brian sings it. Same with 39. These are the only 2 songs that I like more when Brian sings them rather than Freddie because of the emotions.

There will Never be another voice like Freddie's. He was truly one of a kind. We were lucky enough to see a once in a forever legend. You will always be missed Freddie. I am so glad I got to see you live,as a 12 year old in 1982,and actually got to talk to you for a minute and get your autograph. You will always be one of my heroes.

Whats pretty amazing is even though some Queen songs were created way before Freddie knew his fate...the lyrics almost seem like they fit his situation.

Yaaassas💖💖💖💖 love both versions but there is just something about Freddie Mercury that is ultra special. Mary Austin said that his fans must have seen the same thing in him that she knew all of those years they were together before they broke up. Mary said that inside Freddie there was this treasure chest and so much goodness and generosity. Sure, he lived life on The Wildside a bit and he loved to have a good time. That's the zoroastrian way because they believe that life should be lived to the fullest even though Freddie overdid it a bit.😂😂

Wow, this is the first time I have heard this version of this song, and it is just beautiful, I love when Brian sings it, but I have to admit, this is so much better, Freddy can bring you to tears when he sings this, so guess I will have to watch both of them, Thank You, Marcus, for requesting this version of this song, I can relate to it so much, and yes Faith, isn't it amazing of how many song's they did.and are just as popular today (if not more) then almost 50 years ago, talk about TIMELESS, this is this band..Queen will live on forever, and thanks to the Movie Bho Rap, I have discovered them, and I am in my 70's that is saying a lot. The Movie relit the fire that they had as a group, will never be duplicated, at least that is my opinion

I like the connection & emotion you get from Brian. That said, this versions booming guitar solo really works to create the signature Queen sound.

This is the only song that I prefer the solo version of. Just that intro already gets me! And it feels like Brian is singing more directly to me. Having said that, I love this song, both versions! The gift that keeps on giving is exactly how I feel!

This beautiful heartbreaking song strike deep in my heart when I heard it for the first time...😭I know, Brian wrote it about himself but it fits perfectly to Freddie too... For years he was searching for the real love, that one person who would make him happy...Someone who would love the real Freddie and not Freddie Mercury the rock star... He had many "lovers" but no one stood by him in his hard days, no one loved him...He was riddled with scars as he said himself...😢😢😢💔 So, All these stormy, failed affairs made him stop believing in love anymore...💔 Until the day that he finally found it...🙂 But it was late...😶Too much love killed him in the end...😢 What it consoles me, is that he lived his last 6 years happy and in love... 🥰👬🥰Because Jim truly loved him and stayed with him till the end...👨‍❤️‍👨 Because Freddie wasn't the easiest person to live with...🤷‍♂️ But he won him exactly for that, he didn't care for his fame as many believe until today...😡🤢 The reason that he didn't left his fortune and the Garden Lodge to him is simple... I like both versions. I tend to favour this one because, well, its Freddie, but Brian puts alot of emotion in his version. thats not saying Freddie didn't. I just cant choose, so thats why I say both.

Brian is a good backup singer, but freddie kills it on this song. Brian Can sing certain songs really well, like his part in "No One But You(Only The Good Die Young)" he just couldn't quite nail this song.

Are we all aware of the fact that at some (hopefully) far away point in the future, we'll see Faith react to "No one but you" by Queen? I really do hope that it'll come only after, say, 150 other Queen reactions. It should, in fact, be the very last reaction to anything Freddie Mercury. ;)

I like both versions but to be honest i like the Queen version better. There's just something about Freddie's voice that adds something extra to every song he sings. Brian wrote a great song and sang it with a lot deep feeling but his version doesn't have the depth that Freddie does, nobody has that depth. I think that's why when Freddie sings a song it's always better than anyone else. He's a hard act to follow. He's just the best. Don't get me wrong Iove both Brian's and Roger's voices but Freddie just can't be beat.

I love both, but the emotion Brian brings to the song gives it a slight edge for me. Some songs suit Brian's voice, which is why the band stuck with Brian singing on quite a few .

It's not a hard choice at all. Freddie, 100%. Brian was a back-up singer, IMO. Not to mention, listening to Freddie singing these words while he was dying from AIDS makes it a lot more powerful than Brian having a sad that he left his wife for another woman. IMO.
