Күн бұрынThe celebrated rock musician Josh Homme has plenty to celebrate after surviving some pretty tough times.
His group, Queens of Stone Age, has been nominated for Two Grammys and they are going to be the headline act at the UK's biggest rock festival next year.
Writing the songs on their new album has been a channel for Josh's emotions, he told us, as he recovered from cancer and the loss of close friends.
But then, there has also been some jokey rivalry with Sir Elton John at Glastonbury.

@@BrandonBriers Sorry but, without mentioning what happened to the poor photographer, forbidding his ex-wife from seeing his children and having been abusive towards them tells you that he's a bad person and a bad father. Making fun of what happened in Bataclan or of someone disparagingly is also of a bad person and I could go on giving you more reasons...

As a dude that has seen queens of the stone age already 3 times and has covered some of their songs: no, they are amazing but surely not the best. There is no best at the top level of Rock, only equaly amazing bands

Love Queens, privileged to see them absolutely tear it up in Manchester this week. Homme is one of the last great rockstars, effortlessly cool and responsible for so many great tracks & influencing lots of guitarists. What a man & what a band 🤘🏻

Gutted I couldn’t make the concert at Margate, thought there was no way they’d play there but last night at the O2 was one of, if not possibly the best concert I’ve ever had the honour of being at. Been through a rough 4 years too so can appreciate what you’re going through. Filmed it all for my brother who’s currently having chemo after surgery, hoping he’ll make it along to the next one with me Thanks guys you were epic. The last 2 albums are insane; I couldn’t believe I went to the gig thinking I’d be happy if you didn’t play any of the big QOTSA hits but that song list was incredible. One of very few live acts that live sound quality and vocals are as flawless as on the album 👌🏴

No é no y/ay sound, as far as I'm concerned! I've always refused to pronounce it any other way than it's spelt: the French for man, so the way the French pronounce it. Same with Troy's surname once I'd learnt how the Dutch pronounce it. Plenty of people get their own name wrong, just look at Hyacinth Bucket...🪣/💐
