Semi hollow, ampeg v4/vt22, parametric eq and youre kosher

Tone is 50% amp/pedals 45% pickups 5% build/materials in a guitar ( in my opinion/experience)

Anything is possible when you detune enough. I used to take a standard Washburn steel string to music parties and they'd all compliment its tone. It's cos it would be tuned standard down a step. Always had a capo. Even capo'd up to standard it had a better tone.

I own and play a Maton BB1200 like that - and the fingerboard is just something else and nothing like I’ve ever played, very versatile almost acoustic like playing style. I had to replace the stock pickups for some better ones, but ever since it sounds amazing and versatile - you can squeeze any tone out of it, lots of sustain.
