Queensboro Plaza is undergoing a major renovation project to make it fully accessible. As part of the project, the Manhattan-bound platform will be closed for two weeks starting July 31, 2023.

I work in construction and i rehabilitate subway stations. platforms work like that takes alot of man power but the results are as you said " honestly impressive"

Because they’ll just be replacing the platforms, they will not rehabilitate the station in its entirety

My big criticism about the communication of this service change is that it ignores the vast majority of people who use this station to change trains. Using Queens Plaza only helps those whose trips start in the area, or if they change to or from a bus serving this area. Here's what to do if you use Queensboro Plaza to change trains. Astoria to Manhattan-bound 7: - For Grand Central, change at Lexington Av-59th St to a downtown 4, 5, or 6. - For EXITING at 5th Av, use Grand Central. - For the B, D, F, and M trains, change at 34th St-Herald Square. - For 34th St-Hudson Yards, change to the 7 at Times Square. - For Court Square, Hunters Point Av, and Vernon-Jackson, change to a Queens-bound 7 at Times Square. Astoria to Flushing-bound 7: - Change at Lexington Av-59th St to a Queens-bound N/W train, then change to the 7 at Queensboro Plaza. Flushing to Manhattan-bound N/W: - For Lexington Av, change at Grand Central to an uptown 4, 5, or 6. - For stations 49th St, 57th St-7th Av, and 5th Av, change at Times Square to an uptown N, R, or W train. - For stations south of Times Square, change at Times Square. - You may also change at 74th St for a Manhattan-bound R train, or an E, F, or M train if your destination is near a station served by those trains. Flushing to Astoria-bound N/W: - Change at Court Square to a Flushing-bound 7 train, then change to the N/W at Queensboro Plaza.

For service from Queensboro Plaza: Take nearby (E), (M) or (R) trains to Manhattan or take the Q32, Q60 or Q101 buses into Manhattan. For service to Queensboro Plaza: (7) customers can transfer to (E), (M) or (R) trains at Roosevelt Avenue, or use Q32 or Q60 buses. (N) and (W) customers can use the Q102 bus, the Q69 along Ditmars Blvd and 21st Street, or the Q101 along Steinway Street.

It’s still need to work a Queensboro plaza because it is not level to transfer currently from the 7 to to the on both platforms because the or the R68 is not level with a large gap to get on the train

You will still be able too I’m pretty sure the construction walls would be up so there won’t be access to the Manhattan bound platform but u still can continue up stairs

They are definitely doing some construction s at Norwood station on the D trains until August 28 2023 . The D trains will be the last stop at Bedford Park . The B trains is stopping at Harlem 145 street until August 28. I'm just letting you know that right now..

Reading all the positive comments leads me to think that either the MTA is paying for positive reviews or these people are not from here. This station had been closed off many weekends in the past for track/signal upgrades. Why not do this work then? After this is completed what will be the next phase? Tell the whole truth MTA!

That’s not how any of this works. Plus this is a separate issue that was planned outside the scope of track and signal upgrades and required more time to plan. Piggybacking both into one was not a viable option, especially as Queensboro Plaza was always open during weekend changes. The Manhattan-bound platform will be closed first and then from there the Queens-bound platform will be done as well.
