There is no replacing Geoff Tate. Neither is there a Queensryche without him.

As far as I'm concerned, Queensryche doesn't exist anymore without Chris and Geoff. I think it's sad.

I grew up listening to the original Queensryche members, and they were amazing! It’s good to see that each member speaks respectfully of Geoff, despite his departure. Geoff didn’t say anything bad about the former members in his interview either. Class act from all sides.

This band had such an amazing run from '86 to '90.

My band had the opportunity to open for QUEENSRYCHE in 2007. Geoff is a true gentleman and professional. I still have his plane ticket stub somewhere. That was a great night..... Warrant, Winger, and QUEENSRYCHE!

I'm a Geoff Tate fan and saw him in concert 3yrs ago. It was great and he treats his fans great.

Geoff and Degarmo period Queensryche was absolutely epic. It’s never been the same since…I still bought the Albums but Rage, Mindcrime and even Empire get 99% of my playtime

Saw Geoff at the Whiskey the day after Thanksgiving 2021. Was sold out, but managed to get a ticket the same time we showed up. A guy was selling his, so my gf and I got in, and it was way better than I could have hoped for. Tate is the man.

Queensrÿche didn't get signed until they got Geoff Tate as their lead singer. The labels saw he was a star and he brought that special ingredient to Queensrÿche along with Chris DeGarmo. Todd is a good guy but there is absolutely no replacing Geoff Tate. He is the voice and personality of Queensrÿche. I recently saw his Empire Anniversary tour where he performed Rage For Order in its entirety. Geoff sounded incredible and more like Queensrÿche than the present Queensrÿche lineup 👌

Wish them all the best but Queensryche will never be the same without Tate.

As a bass player Eddie has one of the best bass tones not only in the studio but live which is very difficult usually bass is muddy & not very defined. The promised land tour was one of the best I’ve ever seen. Had the privilege of opening for them on the American soldier tour. Got a chance to talk to Geoff Tate very nice guy. First time I was in a professional studio I brought a copy of Rage for Order told the engineer this is how I want my bass to sound.

Sucks that they never recovered their signature sound once Chris left, but can’t complain, because there’s enough great music from them that to this day, I never get tired of it.

Best concert I've ever seen was Qeensryche performing Operation Mindcrime at the Jones Beach theater in Long Island , NY.

I've been a big fan since the beginning and I respect each and every one of you guys no matter what direction you all took. You gave me great music to listen to and I thank you all for it. Best of luck to you all. Peace.

Criminally underrated legends of our instrument. "Promised Land" was buried behind everything else that came out at the time. It does not get the credit it deserves for being an incredible album.

One of the first acts I ever saw in a club. 37 years later I saw them open for Priest and wow they were excellent.

I'm glad Eddie and Michael are still working, but without Chris DeGarmo, Geoff Tate, and Scott Rockenfield this band is no longer Queensryche. They should have changed the name. DeGarmo especially, was the glue that held Queensryche together.

Buildings Empires tour was their Zenith,..... Performing OMC in it's entirety with full Production along with Pamela Moore (Sister Mary) as well as Most of Empire and a large part of the rest of their existing catalog was a herculean effort and it is my belief that at that point NO ONE could touch them at that level, at that time.

I love Queensrÿche since the day they started Tate and Chris were Queensrÿche Todd screamed the notes were Tate sings the notes when I seen them live Todd couldn’t even get through take hold of the flame without losing his voice sorry but not the same.

You rock man great vocals and great integration on the bass with what you do! See you in Huntsville Alabama in November!

The Warning is such an underrated album one of their best and most badass in my opinion

Operation Mindcrime is one of the top 3 rock albums of all time - even now when I listen to it, I just sit in stunned silence at the end. Simply incredible. So glad I saw them on OM tour at their famous London show...just fantastic!

bought the EP the day it came out, fan since day one. Met the band right before their first headline tour. Ed and Chris esp were class acts, talking just cool af guys. Gave me tix and passes for 3/4 shows in TX. Best summer ever.

Very good interview and awesome bass player and singer. I ran into him right place right time after their opening up for Judas Priest concert in Halifax Nova Scotia last Thursday April 7 2022. I was staying at a hotel right near the Scotiabank Centre venue and was heading to the bars and he just happen to be coming towards me and I knew who he was right away. I said hi and theirs and Judas Priest concerts were awesome and asked him for a selfie in which he agreed to. What a awesome heavy metal night.

Phenomenal bass player. I absolutely love his sound. Filling in the gaps between Wilton and DeGarmo is no easy feat, filling in the gaps AND playing up front and having that bottom end presence is something entirely different. An incredibly unsung hero. As much a I love the early days, the EP being one of my all times…Promised Land is a masterpiece imo. Definitely a bit different but damn can you sink your teeth into that album and it just gets deeper as you go. His bass playing on the title track makes me want to plug my bass in and go. Not the most technical but it’s the heaviest part of a song and gives Geoff’s lyrics a musical foundation. The lyrics are just…”is this all? Cuz it’s not what I expected!”….Fuck! You feel that one.

Eddie, I love you, and the backbone that you are, for this band. As well as your vocal harmonies. In keeping with this, as a fan, from "The Warning" on, I would be so pleased and one of the first in, and on, line to support a tour with all original members. I know you've all been offered the cash to make this happen, and I wouldn't expect it to look like everything is hunky dory, bosom buddies, etc, but jut on the same stage, making the songs live, like no one else can. Take different tour buses, use different entrances, room on different floors of the hotels, if you must, but listen to we, the fans, before it's forever to late. It's mighty hard to take someone on tour, after they're death. Just another plea to the universe, for hell to freeze over, again.

Had Eddie sign my Warning and Rage for Order albums behind HOB in Myrtle Beach, S.C. All their shows I've seen were fantastic. My first was them open for Ozzy on Rage/Ultimate Sin your, Fayetteville, N.C., 1986.

In my all time top 10, possibly top 5 bands due to the chemistry they had. Geoff is still my favorite singer and De Garmo was something very special. Operation Mindcrime is still in my playlist if I'm on a deserted island.

I still wear out Mindcrime and Empire, to this day. 'I am I' was my standout from Promised Land, excellent video too.

Queensryche was never the same after DeGarmo split. My thoughts are Chris DeGarmo held Geoff Tate together.

Appearantly, there’s an album I have never heard of. As far as I know Mindcrime is the third album, not the fourth. (Around 2.00)

I was part of the Tribe tour in 2003. The first show was at HOB in Anaheim. We are escorted to our dressing room where a full spread of food, wine, cigars, showers are waiting. We are thinking how great it is gonna be on tour with Queensryche. Geoff walks in, we exchange pleasantries and he leaves within 10 seconds. HOB rep walks in the dressing room, “sorry guys, this isn’t your dressing room”, then escorts us to our make shift dressing room which is a coat closet with a case of water on the floor. Played 38 shows with them. Our band was called Echo 7.

The Warning is one of the greatest debut albums ever! This is a vocal masterpiece. No other singer has a Take Hold of the flame ! Roads to Madness are some of the greatest vocals ever.Nobody has ever demonstrated their vocal range better than Geoff Tate did.He song notes I've never heard.P.s Not 1 God dam singer can sing Take hold of the flame! Without Tate its a cover band. You can't have a band with so much focus on vocal and then take that part out of the equation and expect to hear the same sound. Very similar to Quiet Riot and what they're trying to do now. I can appreciate the cover.
