Great video I will be interested to see how you get on with your quest for a big girl. I am also on a quest for a 20lber getting closer at 16.5lb last year so hopefully this is the year.

I find I catch a much bigger stamp of fish on deadbaits.. sardines / mackerel for river fishing as they are so oily. I'm on the quest for a river 30lber as iv had 5 20lb plus pike with 2 being over 25lb on both rivers and canals. I can't catch naff all out of lakes lol Not had anything over 15lb on lures and that's over many many years of trying. Yet on deadbaits I rarely catch anything under 16 lb or so. Keep at it dude 💪 Love the pike videos on KZfaq there isn't enough tho !!!

I took a 12 year break from fishing as unfortunately I became disabled. Pike fishing in my neck of the woods used to be awesome before the eastern European invasion, I'm absolutely heartbroken! All the local loughs where I used to fish as a kid have been emptied, I'm talking 14 loughs in my local area. They kill every fish they catch roach,perch, pike, bream the lot! I'm sure they're not all like this but fk me, they've destroyed our local fishing!
