Today we introduce you to the Quest Q30 metal detector. What is it capable of, how do you assemble it, which settings are available and how do you use them.

The Quest Q30 is completely waterproof, even to a depth of 5 meters underwater! It is equipped with a 28 x 23 cm Turbo DD RaptorX search coil for even more depth and better responsiveness. The Q30 is light, ergonomic and extremely robust and can be easily adjusted to length with the help of click camlocks. The handle can also be adjusted via camlock. The built-in 3000 mAh Li-Po battery can be charged with the magnetic charging cable and lasts up to 30 hours.
The detector is also available as the Q30 + with an integrated wireless module, Wireless Lite headphones and tonebreak function.

@@QuestEurope gracias. Compré el q30 y no me está resultando en la playa (mar) el modo saltwater prácticamente no detecta nada. Y el de gold 1 sumba mucho. Gracias saludos

@@klaudiovidal436 You have to set the Ground Balance to 0 and lower the sensitivity in salt water to around 50 - 60, this is how most people find success. But it depends on the kind of ground, the higher the mineralization, the more difficult it is for the Q30, at a certain level you have to lower the sensitivity so much that it will hardly detect anything (I hope this is not the case in your location) My translator has difficulties with the word "sumba", can you tell me what you mean with the part about the gold 1 search mode again? Happy to help!

Hi! We have the Q30+ for bluetooth connectivity with wireless headphones. You can use your Q30 with wireless headphones by buying a 3,5 mm to bluetooth converter, the "wirefree mate" and use it with our Wirefree Lite or Wirefree Pro. www.questmetaldetectors.com/wirefree-mate

The q30 is a very good machine. I have about 6 hrs use and I love the q30. I wish it had threshold in allodes and maybe tone break for iron I use a v3i and an etrac I bought the q,30 for rainy days. But I find my self Us ngit in the same areas as I have pounded with other machines for 20 yrs the q30 pulled targets that went previously missed or just not spotted by my daughter they any updates upcoming? Maybe threshold or iron break adjustments?

Hello George, thank you for the feedback, it is really nice to hear that you are happy with the Q30. For the tone-break feature you have to choose the Q30+, so you can choose a tone specificially for the target ID range of iron. Additionally it has a built-in wireless module to connect wireless headphones. So maybe you can consider getting a Q30+! I wish you all the best

@@QuestEurope hello Quest Europe. I purchased my q30 after asking the difference between the q30 and q30+. I was told wireless headphones nothing more by quest and quest dealers. My q30 is s 3 weeks old now can I send it to you and exchange for a + model? I ofcourse would addthe difference in $$$ thank you happy hunting G

Congratulations on your purchase! I would suggest using the BEACH mode, maybe PARK. It also depends on what and how deep you want to search. And don't forget to set the sensitivity so that the detector is working quiet. The best way to choose the right mode is by trying different modes, as ground conditions and number and kind of objects highly affect the best choice- good luck in the water!

Hi there! The frequency shift can help to avoid wrong signals. For example if you and a friend of yours walk with both a Q30 close to each other, they may interfere with each other and give wrong signals. This may also occur due to other electronic devices that work on the same frequency. With this option, you can adjust the frequency by a little margin so these wrong signals stop.

Can I just buy the quest 30 and get a bluetooth adapter and connect my own bkuetooth earphones?

The Q30 has a 3.5 mm port for normal headphones. If the adapter uses this, it should work without problems.

Hello David, these are the differences between the Q30 and Q30+: - The Q30+ has a built-in wireless module to connect headphones, the wireless headphones are included in the scope of delivery for the Q30+ (Normal Q30 has no wireless module and no wireless headphones) - The Q30+ has a "tone-break function", means you can customize the target ID break-points, at which the tone changes (for example you want to hear a "iron tone" up to target ID 40, so you can set the first tone to be used until a higher target ID than 40)

Hi! A software update can solve the issue. Here's a video explaining how: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/mbiBabSLmayZqmQ.html Please note that sometimes there are issues regarding the usage of the app and connecting of the device. Please make sure to check out the video description of the video if you have any troubles as there are some tips to resolve the problems. If you can't get it to work you can also send the device back to the dealer you bought it from/our European Service Center so we can restore the software. 🙂 If you have any questions let me know!
