My mother was a Christian. She was one of the sweetest and most kind human beings that I have ever seen. But, she enjoyed reading horoscopes, palmistry, numerology, and could read coffee grounds( like tea readings). I told her that she should not do that because the Bible speaks against it. She said,” That is just harmless fun”. She spent the last nineteen years of her life totally insane. I am convinced that she had been possessed. So, please don’t dabble in anything the Bible forbids including being superstitious or being hypnotized.

When a Christian is saved, by spiritual circumcision his or her spirit, being filled with the Holy Spirit, is isolated from his or her flesh nature - no demon/devil can possess such a saved Christian's spiritual nature. However, the flesh nature can, and often will, give in to evil temptation for a period of time.

This is true that the devils don't respond to formulas, recited words, or people who think they're saved by works. Only Jesus saves, so His authority (faith in His Lordship) is what demons obey. This is why Catholic priests who aren't saved by grace can't cleanse a 'haunted house' or a possessed person. They tend to put their faith in their mediators of holy water and recitations and rituals, rather than the true Mediator, Jesus Christ.

I just wanna tell about a time when I ran up into a lady like this and told the devil to be gone and the devil spoke through her and said ( I hate you) and rose up and tried to bite me in the face like a mad dog and I put my hand on her head and said devil be gone in Jesus name and she fell on her back and spread out like she was on a cross and said yes Jesus name Jesus name and then got on all fours and ran over to the neighbors yard and started to hump their dog and the cops was called and they came and put a dog noose around her neck and as they tried to put her in the car she was lashing at them trying to bite them and they got her in the car it was a strong possessing the devil ran but did not leave her I didn't get to try again for the police took her away. I pray some one Jesus fill helped her get freedom of that Devil. I left her up to God in my prayers.

See that verse in 2 Corinthians is talking about marriage. If we apply the verse to what it's actually talking about the same way we apply it to demon possession, "Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?", we would say it's impossible for a believer to marry an unbeliever. If it's impossible to be demonized as a Christian using this verse, by the same reasoning it's impossible for a believer to marry an unbeliever. So, is it impossible to marry an unbeliever? NO! It goes on to talk about " What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said:", but we know that the temple of God has been filled with Idols, both in the Old and in the New. Look at Hezekiah or Josiah. There were idols in the Temple of God, the very one He put His name in, and had filled with His presence, and which housed the Arc of the Covenant. The idols were cleaned out. And look at Jesus and the Temple. The whole point of this was that Jesus was trying to illustrate an exorcism. He cast the money changers out of the courts. He also freed the doves, which were caged, and doves represent the Spirit of God. Jesus cleansed the Temple at the beginning of His ministry in John, AND at the end of His ministry in the other gospels. So, yeah. Temples have idols. If so, then Christians can have demons, no? This is not good, in the same way it's not good for a believer to be married to an unbeliever, but it IS nevertheless possible. 2000 years later, we're confused because we don't know how Temples work. It has 3 parts. The outer courts, the Holy Place, and the Holiest of Holies. Likewise, people have Body, Mind, and Spirit. We know that the Spirit of a Christian is born again, and likewise with the Temples, the moneychangers could not have gone into the Holiest of Holies (that is the Spirit) without God striking them dead. So, surely an unclean spirit cannot inhabit the Spirit of a born again believer, YET, the doves remained caged in the outer courts until they are freed by an exorcist.

I don't understand how somebody could cast out demons and prophesy and do miracles and not have the Spirit of God in him. But the Bible says that many will do these things, and still not know Jesus. This confuses me.

I have this question, I have come to understand it may be possible for a Christian who is saved to be oppressed yet not possessed. Much like the girl who watched demonic movies, music and had posters say she was saved, wouldn’t she be casting those spells on herself then? This is what much of the music industry does through frequency manipulation and much of what new age does through tarot and other means. So even though someone is saved couldn’t they be oppressed? Or a child growing up in a household of those saved ?

Probably you are right. But there is another possibility, First: when you listen to Satan it means you let Satan put evil plan in your heart. And second: when you do that evil plan it is when Satan entered into you. First step is found in John 13:2 “And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him;” Second step is found in John 13:27 “And after the sop Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him, That thou doest, do quickly.” I don't know if we can assume that our body has only one space at a time, like as the seal of the Holy Spirit occupies your heart, no other power can ever enter into you. In this case how can someone ever reprobate? Or maybe while the seal of Holy Spirit is in you, you still can adopt the plan of devil and devil can enter into you as you decided to implement the devil's plan. No one knows for sure which one is correct, one can be correct or both can be correct or both can be wrong, only God knows. I will never let devil put his plan into my heart, but I will guard my heart the best I can do

A big critique I have against the "Demon slayers" who claim that Christians can have devils is that 1 Corinthians tells the congregation to expel and even HAND OVER TO SATAN those people who claim God and practice sexual immorality, are drunkards, greedy, etc. There is nothing there about "casting out demons of incest, lust, drunkenness," I believe a lot of those people who claim God but also claim "I can't stop this sin, I have a demon" are engaging in comforting theology that basically says "The devil makes me do it," no matter how sincere they may be in wanting to do what is right. The Bible talks about resisting sin. It talks about changing our ways - DECIDING to follow Christ and the Spirit instead of the sinful flesh. The Bible preaches repentance, repentance, repentance, and battling the flesh. I know that I choose to tell people about repentance, faith, and baptism through Jesus and the salvation He offers.

'always unsaved are demon possessed' ... I thought so. There is a friend of mine who is very catholic she says that the catholic excorcist was unable to cast out her demon. She claimed that christians who are demon possessed are more spiritual as they have to battle spiritually everyday. hmmph.. I'd say she wanted that devil and that her religion is in vain because sweet water and bitter cannot abide in the same vessel. Am I judging her or is this discernment?
