Great Interview I watch you both as my 2 holidays last year were Tenerife and Benidorm. I agree with Lucy about the old town being better than the new as you get older. I have been to Benidorm many times but last year was the 1st time I had ever been near the old town, its like a different world walking round the narrow streets with its many bars and restaurants. There was even a lovely chippy down 1 of the alleys called Northern Sole really good we went a couple of times.

I never knew she went there to begin with at 16 and did 2 year and stayed from 18 that takes guts tbf and Lucy as done well and you’ve got to respect that wish I did I’ll tel you that Lucy as to be respected 👍🏻

Double whammy today, can't be bad, I understand where Lucy is coming from saying she likes the old town, I've only been 5 times to Benidorm so I still like the levante area, I could imagine doing the clubs n pubs for a long time and getting a bit tired after a while especially if I lived there, but in fairness I could live in Benidorm and Tenerife, Lucy loves her sports as well, I like that side of her as well, but I bet she was terrific fun when she was on the pub/club scene. Nice one Lee n Lucy, a couple of top vlogs today👏

Benidorm I went there on my Honeymoon back in October 1971. It was about the only place open at that time of year back then. We had a great 2 weeks there.My first wife was frightened by live Lobster on a fish-mongers slab.We had plenty of good food. Not too much of the English strip back then.

As regular visitor to Benidorm and Tenerife I find most people I speak to in either destination have visited both destinations and enjoyed them both. Great film Lee.

Defo brings sunshine in all our lives. During early last year, there were lots of things happening surrounding Covid and Spanish Government, changes were coming thick and fast and regularly too. Lucy helped to put all our minds at ease and it certainly helped me as I was concerned about travelling as well as with my friend Tommy, I was worried about him and his welfare too. Lucy helped with all that and I let her know when I met her at Winners, I think she appreciated. I also said to her that, "You see all those folks out there enjoying themselves, you've helped to bring them here and put them at ease to come, good on ya!"

It's a bit like that in the Caribbean. We love it when the tourists arrive and fill the economy with life. However, once they leave and it's summertime, having Antigua back to ourselves is lovely too. Most whities can't handle the 110f temps and lack of winds, but then moan about the hurricanes.

Told ya Lucy was ace, very easy to talk to and such a wealth of information, makes a mean Strawberry Dachari too lol. Hope you had a wonderful time with her mate.

Yes Benidorm is misrepresented in the media, people have the wrong idea. I went for the first time out of curiosity as I was nearby and realised there is so much there. I now go regularly. I also use it as a base as there are so many resorts that are easily accessed nearby, altea, guadalest, alicante ect are all very near. Plus there is a metro that goes along the coast.
