Great tutorial. I have only made one journal & it was fun & satisfying. I love to watch the videos but get overwhelmed by all the things to make & use. The one I made has a cover made from a 5 lb. sugar bag. Makes a satisfying crinkle sound. You have inspired me to try another one. Thanks!

You can file down one end of a large paper clip - the very large ones. I use mine to poke holes in everything including making holes in the tops of water bottles so that I can water indoor plants etc

When the difference is that tiny, usually just putting the wider pages on the outside "soaks up" that difference and they are even. But also- don't cut it, its more fun all textured. 😄

@@MelinaPylant I just wanted to update you on my coffee-died papers. I did your same method but splattered some paint on them. I laid my papers on the counter on foil and want back around my edges of the pages with coffee that gave me the ink-effect on the edges. I had so much fun with this and next I’m going to do the food coloring pages. Thank you again for the tutorial.

Melina -- This was perfect. I've gotten this far. But, my next one will be different. I learned a couple things today, on top of what I thought I knew and what I did, I'm still pleased. My problem is, I don't know how to start? I get journal cards, pockets, tags, etc., but how many, where do they go? I'm seriously missing this part. TIA

Thank you for sharing. I think junk journals should be made from junk not designer look like junk. The reson for junk art of any form I think is to use and repurpose the earths resources using creativity and imagination that costs very little and is confidence building. This is why I think junk art and multi media are the absolute best. ❤
