Easy bullet journal monthly setup 🥳 Because sometimes we just have to go back to a quick and simple bullet journal setup! This isn't my actual monthly setup for February, but I wanted to show you guys some layouts that could help when making a more minimalist bullet journal setup. The monthly set up usually takes several hours but I enjoy every moment which I spend it drawing, planning, and creating spreads I love looking at them.

I find having simple set up can help you get the info you need recorded. Extra doodles and decorations can alway be added during the month. Nothing says your month has to be finish before it starts

I love minimalist and simple bullet journal but I've done it last May.. but probably will repeat it again later because it was cool!

I love this pared-down, modern art deco style! I'm currently in my Traveller's notebook, so this would work just perfectly for me. Also -- my set-ups tend to take only about 10-20 minutes total lol. I pretty much only have a monthly overview, a tracker page, and then weeklies....all of them very simplistic.

Love your simple setup. Stopping in between it usually takes me 3 days to set up.

This is so similar to how I do my monthlies. The first weekly is how I do every week, but with a column on the side with boxes for ongoing work projects, media (books and tv/movies/YT), a non-grocery shopping list and an "awaiting" packages list. Cover, month+trackers and weeklies take about 30 minutes because I put a mini calendar on each weekly and that's a lot of numbers 🤣

I was thinking of doing a minimalistic set up for Feb but I decided to be a little more fancy instead. It is my first year, and I took forever to do the Jan set up, so I wasn’t sure if I should put in so much detail for my Feb set up, but I realized it was worth it. I like the fancy set ups, since it gives me something to look forward to and encourages me to fill out the spreads because of how hard I worked on them!

It doesn't take me long to set up for a month, but I do digital planning and I lean more towards functional planning with a smaller amount of decoration. Also I can reuse parts of previous month's planners. Even though I do understand the appeal of more elaborate planners that take hours to set up, it feels counter productive for me personally to spend hours on it. But I do understand it is also a creative outlet and a hobby for many people and thus worthy of the time

Oh boy, my monthly takes a bit of time, although I am getting faster as I now know mostly what I need my monthly to contain. I work on if for a bit every day for a few days.

It takes me a couple days to finish a monthly set up, so I should start my set up now lol. I do it on and off, so it takes a while!

My monthly set up time really depends on the theme! My Feb one has taken about 2 hours but I had a pretty detailed (at least detailed for me!) drawing on the cover page. My weeklies take me about 5 mins to set up as I use the rolling weeklies with minimal decoration, leaving the prettiness for the cover and monthly. Great video!

My monthly setups easily take me hours over multiple days because I like a quite artistic journal and I am a perfectionist. But I do have some months that don’t take as long.

As soon as I saw all the ghosting, I knew this was not your regular set up. 😂 It’s nice to see some examples of super easy set ups though, especially since I will be going back to school next month (first time in 20 years 😬). Wish me luck 🍀

My monthly setups aren't that extensive because it's literally two spreads and my doodles aren't that complicated. However my theme for next month is hopefully going to be rather drawing heavy because it's also a theme I've been obsessed with since I came up with it (it's going to be musical themed and therefore I also have a lot of quotes to sneak in). Unrelated, I definitely agree on downsizing spreads taking less time. I am a one page weekly kinda gal but because of being at home all day I suddenly need more space for to do lists so next week is gonna be a full spread weekly and when I started that one today I finished page one and was like 'this is actually a lot more than I usually do' and it's like basic math but I was still surprised.

My monthly set ups can take up to a few hours, although my weekly layouts are really minimal and stay the same other than odd additions of extra task lists and additional pages, my monthly trackers always seem to take forever to do, definitely cutting down on tracking so much this month. This video have given me some amazing ideas of how to do that and still be effective. Your videos are so amazing, love them so much :)

my monthlies take me about 30 minutes to an hour - and it only takes that long because i tend to put something on to watch while i work so i'm not putting 100% concentration on it. all my monthly things fit over a 2-page spread and i have my entire year of themes/headers planned out beforehand to make it as easy as possible for me

I want to do a Mickey Mouse/Disney for my feb set up! I was thinking that for either the second half of the year, or for next year my entire bujo would be Disney themed, and than each month would be a different Disney movie!

My monthly takes about 15 minutes. I generally fill out weeklies as I go so they don't get set up ahead of time.

My monthly setup is literally 5 minutes? I just do a monthly overview. Slap a washi tape and colored marker on there if I feel like it and done 😂 I don’t do trackers and whatever, it’s too much for me and they’re not my priorities 😝 but sometimes I like making creative spreads yeah! So I understand very well that you can just put up some music and bujo for an hour or two :)

Question of the day: It depends on the theme and how much inspired I feel that month. It takes me several days, so it's kind of a dress-me-slowly-I'm-in-a-hurry situation, lol.

This is my first year bullet journaling so I’m not sure how long a monthly by itself takes. (I haven’t set up February yet.) When I set up my yearly and my January setups it took 7 hours!!!! Part of that was figuring out what to do though.
