Tom Settle, Director of Training at Hunter Engineering, explains the vehicle inspection process utilizing Hunter's Quick Check® with Quick Tread® inspection system configuration. This inspection includes a tread depth measurement, alignment check, emissions test and battery test. However, a Quick Check® inspection may vary depending on the modules used.

As a mechanic that dose alignment I don’t see why you would do a check on the floor having it on the adjustment ramp from the start means you don’t have to move it to make adjustments in the repair shop time is money and if your moving cars around from one place to another that takes up time as you can’t rush moving cars around a workshop due to all the hazards

My shop has the cheapest hunter alignment system the readings always bounce back and forth on their own.

This isn't normal for Hunter equipment, please contact your local Service Rep to help resolve your issues.

Can you clarify for those who don't know, do wheel covers need to be removed? I know they don't need to be removed, but work with a shop full of guys who think they do.

Hello. Hawkeye Elite requires secure adaptor mounting. This can be accomplished on most vehicles without removing wheel covers/hub caps. The key with any wheel is a gentle tug after mounting to determine if the adaptor is secure.

The whole point is to check the alignment angles in the service drive, not perform the adjustments there. The vehicle would get adjustments make in the workshop.
