Do we have an All-in-One Polish? Yes, and no. In this video, we wash and decontaminated this Hyundai -- and then we polish and protect (in almost one step). What do you think?
The goal here is to get the maximum performance from our polish, while also adding protection as you wipe off. What say you??

Very interesting and informative video. Thanks gents. A question - you mentioned that the clear coat was failing in places but also you would have used a pressure washer if it was available. Would you risk accelerating the damage to the clear coat if you used a pressure washer? My concern would be the pressure washer would break off more clear coat around the edges were it has failed, as you no longer have a sealed barrier of clear coat.
@diydetailofficial

For a palm sander it's a very good result. On the durability aspect. Doing it as a "one step" compare to using panel prep after the damp wiping. Are we talking about noticable of minimal difference. Ceramic gloss is an amazing selant. Extremely glossy and slick.

great video as always by trying to keep it informative and real at the same time. I do have one question, is there a reason you skipped after iron remover not using water spot removal to remove any minerals on the surface so when you're polishing you're not grinding into the clearcoat? It's obvious this car had no protection so I would think that is a very important step not to skip over.

I am quite skeptical that a non-clay decon is anywhere near as effective. Would you mind proving me wrong by using your decon product and then using a clay bar after and vice versa to see which product picks up more.
@diydetailofficial
@diydetailofficial Ай бұрын
A clay bar will pick up more contaminants, but a clay bar also has abrasives , meaning that when using a clay bar, polishing is often required. The Perforated Synthetic Decontamination Towel has no abrasives and doesn’t marr the surface.

Brazil.... I have even sent an email to Yvan... I thought about buying some products to bring over here.... But I'm still working on it... Tax is still a big issue.... :( specially because our currency is on the toilet comparing to dollar....) Anyways.... I wonder if I can use a little bit of a regular high quality shampoo, in order to wipe off the compound... And BTW, I'd love to try the golden standard polish........ :( but it is what it is.....

The next time you get a vehicle with clearcoat failure could you try and show a close-up of what it looks like or at least describe it for the true DIY'ers? What causes it? Is it caused from neglect, over polishing, or just poor quality in the first place? The same goes for oxidation. Thanks!

What's the difference between all in one polish and 3 in 1 polish and 2 in 1 polish?

Great question. The ??? In One’s all contain some form of protection that they leave behind. The difference between All, 2, 3 etc is mostly marketing.

You do not want to use a wax before DIY Detail Ceramic Gloss. FYI DIY Detail Gold Standard Polish is a pure abrasive polish, not a wax.

Love your videos, products and effort. Would love to see you address the entire car with trim restore, interior, door jams, and glass. Better video of your paint close up to actually see the improvements. Also like when Nick gets to do something beyond what Ivan says. Spread that polish over the 1/2 panel, we all do it. Let the natural stuff happen, not so scripted.
