Quick Fab Tutorial - Trailer Drop Jack

OK, so forgive the crappy sound and auto-focusing glitch. But here's a brief run down of the drop leg trailer jacks I made. These are mounted at the rear of my trailer to stabilize the back end, and prevent squatting the trailer, during log loading using my new swing arch.
I'll have a video walk-through of the logging arch posted soon. This whole build has been in anticipation of getting my bandsaw mill. Which came in last Friday. Woo!
So expect more videos soon.

hay thanks for the video-I did not want a plate at the bottom so I went to harbor freight and paid $5 for a caster wheel and welded it to the bottom so that I could push or roll it around-works great

Glad it helped! I mounted two of these to the rear of my trailer so the back doesn't squat when I'm loading logs.

Don't put in a pin. Just drill one of the two bolts a hole in the inner piece of square tube, so the bolt can go into a hole stop when it's in the stowed position. Everything else would be the same -- just back that bolt out and use the pair of them to hold the jacks in position when you drop them down.

Except this would strip the threads on your bolt eventually.
