What gorgeous jars! Learning to put up food in different ways is so exciting and is going to help me tremendously! Thank you!! I'm not a fan of shorts. I can always speed up a video if need be. You're titling your videos well for searching so that helps a ton. Maybe editing Jess should try making an intro that has cut scenes of steps or materials, like include your "shorts" in the video toward the beginning. It would help me and my ADHD brain see the big picture and maybe do it right along with you. Having those quick clips would keep the video from getting slow, boring or adding length. You're really good at talking 😉 I love hearing you chat away while I'm folding clothes, hearing the sounds of the kitchen is pleasing too.

Having watched you for a long time it tickles me that my neighbour's 'new' dog (they lost their old boy) is now called Bear too. When they introduced me to him I instantly thought of your Bear. Edited to add here that my youngest Son's nick-name is Bear too. Given to him by the Girls at school, because his name is Jed. JeddyBear, because of how sweet he is. When I'm searching for a how-to, it annoys the living daylights out of me that I have to wade through a ton of useless Shorts suggestions to get to what I really need. It doesn't take less than a minute to do these things, so why do people expect a video to be that length. Plus, you can end up missing out vital details when trying to rush. I have all sorts of 'Columbo' moments in mine... Oh, and one more thing. 🤣 You do you, it's what we watch you for.

Yes girl, I love me some garlic. I laugh when a recipe calls for a clove of garlic… I’m like you mean a bulb. Video Ideas: (1) How to store garden or bulk food. Especially if you don’t have a root cellar or a ton of freezer space. (i.e. potatoes, onions, radishes, stuff bought in bulk- like flour from Costco/Azure) In this video you mention soaking your veggies in water for 15 mins for a longer fridge life. I didn’t know that- very helpful tip. (2) Lunch menu ideas. A lot of us are either at work or at home taking care of kids. I don’t always have leftovers, so heathy, homemade, and quick lunches (se we don’t eat convenience or go out to lunch). (3) Teaching us the different cuts of meat. (4) Some might not know the when a recipe says… dice, chop, mince, etc.

Hi Jess 👋! I love both of your channels for so many different reasons. For tutorials, I know you’re meaning basic things but…I would like it if you’d explore covering YOUR …during each season… your “5 [always do, every year] preservation recipes and show/explain how your family uses them either by themselves or added to other dishes/recipes.” So for each season [let’s say 5 or any number of your choosing], 5 SPRING, 5 SUMMER, 5 FALL, 5 WINTER. Like your and your family’s FAVORITE recipes that you religiously make or prioritize to make for each season, every year, that are either pressure canned, water-bath canned, pickled, freeze-dried, smoked, quick-pickled recipes, dehydrated, etc. I think some staples that would be great to learn are mayonnaise, different kinds of relishes, and any dairy alternatives that you might use as well. Thank you in advance! 👍🏻🙏🤗

This was fun! Do you ever pickle your eggs? My family loves them! It would be great to see a video of how you make them. In my experience everyone does them quite differently.

Enjoying your new channel. Sauces, dressings, mayo, spice mixes or seasonings that you use are all good ideas! Of course with all of the garlic you like! 😃

I have honestly been keeping an eye out for gluten free tutorials from you ever since you mentioned it in your dutch baby video! I have a sister who is gluten free and the pair of us struggle to find ways to bake simple things without forfeiting texture (for example breads, buns, tortillas)

Jess, I am a cook from scratch girl, however the thing that throws most people trying to cook from scratch is gravy. Please make some tutorials on brown gravy and white gravy, and even bechemel or white sauce.

I'd love for you to do a fermented veggie video! I fermented carrots last year with garlic and onions, and...🤯🤤 I like to rewatch videos as a refresher, and I would just really love to have one from you to reference when I make some more in the coming months😊

Teach the people how to make salad dressings and vinaigrettes, they are so much cheaper and more tasty than store bought.

How about an answer questions video on previous cooking videos? Also, I guess this is an older recipe because it has the older format. I hate to print these. They use tons of toner & often print 2 pages when it could have bern on 1 page without the huge header. Thanks, again, for changing the format. 😊 PS Anyone who doesn't like you're chatting just needs to....go just in a lake! 😂

You made a vinaigrette for a salad in one of your previous videos on here, and I made it with the end of my watermelon jam jar, it was DELICIOUS! That would be a great short video!
