I have that guitar! Only with single coils and maple neck. The humbucker really sounds different!

Thanks for figuring this out so I didn't have to. It confirms my suspicion that it's as much cm7 as it is e-flat. I feel like guitar player wanted a funky groove for this song but nothing in a straight major key felt funky so he did this 6 and sus4 bit which sounds as much like cm to fm as 6 and 4 of e-flat. If the guitarist really HAD to hammer on and pull off on the rhythm part I wish he'd done it with index barring the 3rd fret hammering and pulling off with the C shape chordlet (b-flat hammering on to e-flat). Not as many rhythmic squiggles available but the cm feel costs the song some positive energy, I think.
