Remember guys, Quicksilver’s powers were still immature like Wanda. If he were alive, he would probably be fast enough to decapitate Thanos in a blink of an eye. Plus, they made him realistic here. He is exhausted after he runs like an ordinary human person, compared to X-Men Quicksilver where he seems fine after running so much.

Its an emotional moment, but that hulk scene as he enter the plane and ultron said "oh for god sake." it cracks me up.

Okay, but can we appreciate that Hawkeye was willing to be shot to protect the kid?

Retrospectively, this is the first step into Scarlet Witch’s real power, which entirely grew out of grief: when she feels Pietro is dead, she destroys all Ultron’s copies in a single blow while she was struggling against them just moments before. Her evolution as the lead character of the MCU was well planned.

Elizabeth Olsen’s acting in this scene will always be phenomenal to me. I get chills every time she falls to her knees and screams in anguish. It just felt like such a real and authentic reaction to the person closest to you just dying..

They wanted to kill off the character as the character could have EASILY avoided being shot

Quicksilver is too fast to die in a scene like this. I dont know if he died in the comics but what a wast of a character, he was marvels Flash and look what DC got out of the flash.

What I'd like to point out is that Pietro was trained by HYDRA so he most likely knew the limits of his speed. From what I know about his powers he had more time to think about sacrificing himself than we saw. Also his last words were an just an inside joke between him and Clint. When Pietro died he knew exactly what he was doing and what would happen to him yet he still made that decision.

"I have no strings so I have fun I'm not tied up to anyone" That hits hard

You gotta love how his last words were in character for his sense of humor

Wanda felt Pietro when he died, most of her powers during this time is telepathy since it hasn’t been explored yet. She was trying to find Pietro so she used her powers and felt Pietro’s pain. It’s actually really sad

This is such a great scene, especially from the filmmaking side of it. Just the way that they cut to wanda after the bullets that lets you know what's happened before they show it!!! Also, chills every time 😭

Despite it's flaws Age of Ultron will always be my favourite MCU movie and Quicksilver will always be my favourite character. ATJ and Elizabeth are perfect casting as the twins and I really don't think they should've killed Pietro they could've done so much more with him. Like imagine if Wanda had lost both Pietro and Vision in Infinity War I mean that would be a truly emotional moment and there could've been many more great moments with him and them. Plus Wandavision has made me love this film and character even more. And I just lastly want to say this Evan Peters Quicksilver is fantastic there's no way in hell I'm gonna argue that but ATJ'S Quicksilver will always be my favourite Quicksilver!

This is the only movie I have ever cried at. Quicksilver was my favorite character and he was only in one movie

It was actually very thoughtful of Cap to carry Pietro’s body onto the Helicarrier so that Wanda could have a funeral for him, instead of just leaving his body behind in the city that was about to be destroyed.

Lets take a moment to appricate that when Quicksilver was shot, he had long enough to feel the bullets, long enough to realize he was going to die and the last thing he did was smile at Hawkeye knowing he did good before the end.

He was such a nice super hero

Quicksilver's death is one of the most heartbreaking scenes we've ever watched. If Quicksilver survived in time to rescue Hawkeye and the Sokovian boy, he would've joined the new Avengers, along with her twin sister Scarlet Witch, Vision, War Machine, and The Falcon. And he would have aided his teammates before the Accords for Sokovia were invented, and chosen to stick to Captain America's side of the clash of the Avengers (And perhaps Wolverine could've debuted in the MCU on Iron Man's side).

1:14 i just noticed when quicksilver was on the ground it looked like he was running one leg extended other one bend and arms in position that they are when you run

In case anyone is wondering, we CAN hear that the gunshots have been slowed down in fight on the boat when Quicksilver in running around, not to mention the fact that he was outrunning both Tony’s and Ultron’s repulsor beams. So, yes, at this point in the movie, he probably could’ve outran the bullets. And don’t try saying that it would’ve hurt Hawkeye to be grabbed and carried at that speed, because Quicksilver literally body slams Hawkeye through a window while running and he’s perfectly fine.

Like can you really blame her?

The saddest part is.. wanda cared more about her non-existent kids, than quicksilver. She fought, torture, willing to kill anyone. For her kids, yet she forgot about the one person that she grew up with. 😭😭

It's even worse because the people of Sokovia knew Pietro cause he brought them clothes, medicine etc that he stole for them. in a deleted scene he gives this woman a toy for her brother (the little boy in this scene) and a dress for herself. It adds even another layer to his whole sacrifice

The issue with MOM wasn’t the lack of cameos, it was the lack of meaningful cameos. MOM would have been the perfect opportunity to reintroduce Quicksilver

Did anyone else notice that in this film every time they said “You didn’t see that coming” it was being a smart ass “you didn’t see that coming ?” but before pietro fell down him saying “you didn’t see that coming” was an inside joke but it was also more like a “wow you really didn’t see that coming that was unexpected”

If thor or hulk had jumped on the plane quicksilver may have been alive.
