Your title said "purify and filter in 2 minutes", so for safety reasons, viewers need to understand that the clear water is not fit for drinking until Purified ie Boiling or treatment through chemical iodine, chlorination, Pottasium Permanganate etc...this video is just filtering (not removing or killing the bacteria etc) the muddy water, but well done good clip! What's the difference? If you boiled the water then filtered it, wouldn't that be the same thing? Wouldn't that make it safe to drink? Or are you just concerned with the word "purify"? I'm asking, because I don't know.

This method only for emergency purpose when you go the area where the water is not clean. The simple filters desribed here will not remove heavy metals or chemical pollutants but should manage bacteria and particles. If your water source turns out to be highly contaminated, you could attempt to find another source or locate and neutralise the cause of the pollutant.

@@banjod5363 Filtering removes impurities from water, such as dirt, sediment, and other stuff. Whereas boiling will only kill bacteria and other microbes present in the water - it wont remove any impurities. That's the difference.

I think if I was going to try this I would use a cone coffee filter rather than a tissue. It is made to keep small coffee grounds out of the water.
@botswana47666 жыл бұрын
Couldn’t you boil it then let it cool for a few minutes to kill the bacteria?

Any way to clean radio active water (from atom bombs) without massive equipment? Like smaller tools.
