Thanks for the demo. What mounting bracket to you have on your NEX-7?

Where did you get that L-Bracket to mount on the Manfrotto QR plate? That looks great!

thanks. do you think i could focus quickly on a people moving around on a dance floor. i want to use a 28mm f2 zeiss manual lens on a wedding parties. i guess i need like 1 second focus speed. sounds like with practice this can be achieved. what do you think? i guess a lcd viewfinder is a must?

i like it, looks very good and maybe even better than autofocus as can see exactly what is in focus before pressing . (i find if i use autofocus and then recompose, focus is adjusted if i have unnitentionally moved backwards or forwards very slightly before pressing)

What a great feature. All digital cameras should do this :p

@breakit46 You'll still be able to make out a persons facial expressions. A face doesn't actually receive very much highlighting in this mode. Only the nostrils and other dark areas get the highlighting when I do it.

Does Focus Peaking work with the EVF ?
@KlausBioMadsen12 жыл бұрын
wow, this is far more practical than the magnification focusing i have on my g3. I doubt i will ever be using any manual focusing lenses though.

I noticed that I could turn the focus ring a fair amount even though the same general area was highlighted. This area never reflected the aperture, so with F/2.8 I always had focus that was a little in front or behind where I wanted it. I did use the lowest peaking setting. In the end, I still ended up using the MF assist, but I didn't like how that takes up the whole screen because I couldn't check composition. Of course, things are much better since I went with the LA-EA2. :)

How come it doesnt show the aperture on the screen?
@Owwliv12 жыл бұрын
To some extent, probably the same extent so does a split prism focusing screen on a slr, but those where massively popular for quite some time. If you prefer canon's precision matte screens to those this might not be for you.

I cannot make this feature work in Nex7, it could be because this feature works only for certain type of lens. You should say so in the first two seconds of your video so people do not waste time learning a feature that they will not use.

Hahaha good video! but i already though why he didn´t put his own camera on a tripod. its funny :D because he said it himself in the video at: 1:11

I couldn't get past the crass remarks to watch any more....this has been the worse delivery I have seen yet....no need to be so vulgar...it doesn't set well with some who are looking for more professional communication.
