No sense in me commenting this three years later. But that blank space on the wall looks like the perfect spot for a first aid kit, eye wash station, and fire extinguisher. You can also consider mounting tubs of blue rags and wet wipes.

Wow, that pack out storage with the bar is real slick! I’ve watched dozens of trailer set up videos, I’ve begun to start skipping anything “Paulk inspired “ cause there is not much impressive but this. You took this concept and really made it yours. Great job!
@fenloebellllc3 жыл бұрын
Thank you, I didn't want to go the viewtainer route and that's what I came up with. I am really happy with the pack out storage. it is really working well. I haven't found any issues with its function yet and knock on wood I would build it again the same way.

Very nicely done & very efficient looking to work out of! Where did you get the different bins you have in the first three drawers you opened? Like the different size white ones.
@fenloebellllc3 жыл бұрын
Amazon. I think I just searched drawer organizers
@Doublethizzle3 жыл бұрын
Absolutely beautiful! I always wanted something like that, but yeah, it never happened. Good ol' milk crates and shelving. Can't help to wonder how long it'll take before it looks like the garage? Little bit about human psychology. Why is it that the *ONLY* brand name power tool that is verbalized is Festool?????
@fenloebellllc3 жыл бұрын
fair point but the garage is mostly messy because I moved then immediately started building the tool trailer without setting any organization up in the garage first. In hindsight I should have setup the garage more. It would have cut down on my build time and lost sanity.

What plywood did you use?
@jmicrogers3 жыл бұрын
did you use 1/2 plywood for the cabinet frames and 3/8 for the drawers?
@fenloebellllc3 жыл бұрын
frames are mostly 3/4". drawers are 1/2"
@AsaBlaze3 жыл бұрын
Love your build. Did you make plans? Total number of plywood? Width of left and right cabinets and isle between cabinets?
@fenloebellllc3 жыл бұрын
The plans are made by Ron Paulk. check out his stuff on KZfaq. He sells the trailer plans I modified them to fit my needs from there. the isle is 35" wide. I roughly have about 20 sheets of 3/4" and 20 sheets of 1/2" into it. it might be a couple sheets less than that.
@AsaBlaze3 жыл бұрын
@@fenloebellllc bought the trailer and the plans! thank you. Looks like you insulated the roof. Is that peal and seal?
@fenloebellllc3 жыл бұрын
@@AsaBlazecongrats on the trailer and plans. an exciting project ahead for you. the insulation is just a cheap foil faced iso foam from the big box store. Its just pressure fit in the walls and ceiling in-between the joists. then I went over the ceiling again covering over the aluminum joists with a layer of 1/2". Its held up with spray adhesive and the wood strips I mounted my lights to. I would use more spray adhesive and or another row of wood strips if I did it again. I noticed yesterday the 1/2" layer is sagging in one spot. Others wise all is working great.

do you like the rear door vs a ramp on your trailer?
@fenloebellllc3 жыл бұрын
The ramp is nice and simple but it only works one way and needs 6.5' to 7' behind the trailer to open it. I like the versatility of the rear doors.I only need 4'. I can open them and get in and get what I need and close them up. If I want more flat room behind the trailer I can fold them 180 degrees so they are on the sides of the trailer and completely out of the way leaving me more flat round outside to work. When I am standing on the ground and accessing the drawers, level and track storage at the back of the trailer it is at a comfortable height. if I had the ramp I would need to bend over more. all in all not a huge deal but nice. In the end either will work. you just have to decide which will work BEST for you.

What kind of weight do think this added to the trailer?
@fenloebellllc3 жыл бұрын
when I purchased all the plywood it was around 2000-2200lbs. figure I lost a little with cut offs and waste but not much. my scrap pile was very small. Then add the tools I am right at my 5000 payload weight right now. Add the trailer weight of 2K for a total of 7k GVW
