I’ve seen a lot of mustang demos, and this guy tops them all imo. He’s not afraid to push the limits of the bird and it shows.

I got to see that live. Scooter said in another video that the whistling sound from a Mustang was usually from the inboard machine guns and from being inset from the other .50s. That plus the angle they hit the air in a dive I think he said. Awesome is all I know....

My grandpa, my dad's dad was a usaf crew chief who serviced p51 mustangs back in the 1950s, he worked at an airforce base in alaska

I believe the engine is of British origin, Rolls Royce Merlin. This engine was used in the Spitfire and numerous other aircraft during WW2. The Mustang is a beautiful aircraft and a very successful fighter. Thanks for the video.

At an airshow I attended once, I filmed a P-51 and an F-15 flying in formation full frame. It was an awesome thing to see and a great shot. It was on my brother's camera. Not too many days later, I asked if I could see the footage. My brother's family filmed over the tape. Ugh...

I've been to the Reno air races several times, but I prefer seeing the P-51 in it's original configuration. Maybe it's because my dad was a Ranger/Scout in WWII and he would tell me when he was behind enemy lines on a mission scared shitless, sometimes he would look up and see American aircraft, including the P-51, and it gave him courage to carry on.

What's a P-51 sound like when it's getting thoroughly wrung out? Freedom, freedom is what it sounds like. If the sound of a howling P-51 dosen't move ya...... well I guess you'd have to be dead.

Wonder if Scott did anything to his gun ports? His plane did not whistle like it usually does. Saw him live at Airventure and on this video the plane just does not sing quite like it used to. Here is how I remember it sounding. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jJZ9dNliqK6oqWw.html
