I know Quill doesn't read comments, but for what it's worth my initial setup for farming and energy combined at the beginning of a game is: lay down 2 wind turbines, and in their blocking zones put down growing fields, exactly the same size and shape. This way nothing will grow there that will block the wind (i.e. trees, because crops don't block wind). And that area can't be used for anything else but crops anyway since you can't build in it either.

You can put a dark plot over the cluster of berry bushes, set it to not used, and then they will harvest the bushes when they’re ready without destroying them.
