I live in Yakima Washington. I have always wanted to go to the quilt show. I'm 71. I live with my son. Two of my granddaughters are going to be living really close to Sisters. We are going to visit during the show. I'm so excited.

Your tree block is awesome! You have a great idea in making a wall hanging with four seasons of trees. I like the idea of a Halloween tree also. Thank you for the rehash of Quilters. Don’t know when I’ll get back there. But miss the firemen 😂 At the beginning of Covid, I switched to xstitch and now want to get back to quilting and Sue Spargoing. Just need to find my path forward. When you showed the trees on the other channel, I stopped and came over here to rejoin this channel. Yes, that screaming was me. I absolutely ❤❤❤ those trees. Loved hearing about this years’ Sisters event, and your video of the quilts. Love love loved it! I was there in 2016, met Scott Hansen, saw his Trees quilt and bought the pattern. It’s still in my queue to make and I think I’ll use all Kaffe fabrics for the trees. I’d love to come back for the entire week for classes. Maybe some day! Hugs !

Being able to bend down and get the soap that slipped out of your hands while you were in the shower - it is indeed something to be very grateful for! I love the trees! Have really enjoyed watching you stitch it over the years. I have never been to the SOQS. I was always going to go but it coincides with my son's birthday. Now I'm not sure I can take the heat. It looks like lots of fun. There used to be an outdoor show in Bozeman, MT. It was tons of fun but in a smaller scale I think.

Hello Anna, the Show is on my bucket list, and as you’ve reminded me, maybe I need to get that done sooner, than later. 😂. I think the word you search for when feeling all your feelings about life, aging, friends, etc. is “melancholy”. I also struggle some days, and your positive thought journal sounds like something I can also do! ❤

Good things I watch both of your floss tubes Anna, or I would have missed the Trees pattern. Now I have to go check to see if you have a new video out for cross stitch channel. Your positivity journal is a great idea. That mental muscle needs to be exercised regularly. I had a quilt in the show for the first time. It was hung in the Town Square near the plant shop. My family became my paparazzi when my quilt came into view. They made quite the scene. LOL. Already looking forward to next year. (I love TREES).

Oh, this video was freaking AWESOME!!! Your energy is motivating!! I'm so glad Cheryl had the time of her life! I was surprised to discover she had never attended before! Your tree block is gorgeous!!! Love your fabric choices. Oh how I wish I was walking the streets along with you LOL, that sounds bad, but oh well. Isn't next year the 50th anniversary of the show?!? Well, if the planets align, I'll try to get back soon for that wonderful event 😜. I saw several videos of the postcards but I missed yours ?!? Well, I'm off to pack up the Element for a short road trip as my guild has a raffle quilt table at a large regional quilt show this weekend. There are 45 vendors at the show. Anna thanks so much for putting this together. I enjoyed it so much. I know you are not asking for anyone's opinion (stop reading here...) it occurs to me on all your reflections on aging (which I deeply appreciated) that just prior, your decisions were to NOT burn the candle, use the hand towels or the mug rug, while at the same time we hope to use our bodies up and get all the longevity we can out of them. I thought about my mom and her crystal and china that she loved and enjoyed so much. They only came out twice a year, sometimes Easter as well. At the end of her life she really worried about how to get them to me being so far away. I was 57 and never used the stuff, nor had a place to store it. These were her pleasures, not mine. I wish we would have eaten off of them every Sunday, rather than 2-3 times per year. But she was afraid they would get broken and no longer exist. Now they exist in a friend's basement, but she did not get all the pleasure she could have gotten out of them, if she wasn't so worried about what would happen to them. Unless your children want the towels etc. Use them up! New presents will come to replace them :)

Anna I'd have put Sisters Quilt week and Show on my bucket list but alas my health (and age☹️!!) is against flights and long journeys so I'm very thankful you share that wonderful experience with us. I thorough enjoyed the chat too. The Christmas fairy certainly visited you early this year or maybe they're early birthday pressies?😊 All so 'You to a T' as we'd say here. The Art Quilts are fabulous and so realistic especially the one with horses. Yes we can all have a few down days for no particular reason but jotting down positive thoughts in a journal is a good idea and something many of us can choose to do - maybe already do?

I’m still feeling a bit punchy from the trip but finally got mot than 5 hours sleep. I just went to the cherrywood fabric website and the Poppy chanllenge is closed and winners announced! They haven’t announced the 2025 challenge yet. But fabric bundles for the poppies are still available.
