You actually missed a really important detail in Attack of the Toybots! One of the most recognizable enemies in this game is Mr Snuggles, a pink teddy bear who seems in no way inappropriate for a Nickelodeon game. This is unless we use the free-look tool included with the Dolphin emulator so that we can unlock the camera and get a closer look at Mr Snuggles' box. While the image here is actually oriented upside-down as they never expected anybody to actually see this, what it actually says is, "I'll hug you and kill you. You'll never sleep again. I'll kill your parents." Always fun knowing there's all kinds of traumatizing stuff hidden just out of view in kids' games.

This is the FOURTH video in a month. Quinton, are you okay? Have you fallen into the multiverse?

This might just be because Invader Zim was one of my absolute favorite shows as a kid (and still is now tbh), but I feel like Dib would fit in so easily with the OG Nicktoons Unite team. Like, that kid's constantly saving the world from wacky alien schemes and is DESPERATE for truly anyone to take him seriously. Plus he's got a scientist dad so he's got access to Cool Equipment like the other guys. I also think he'd be funny to have around because he keeps getting way too excited about the end of the world. Not in a "yippee this is so cool" way, but he's constantly losing his mind about how everyone's finally going to see how he's been Right All Along and takes a weird sort of glee in people being in danger that get specifically is going to save them from.

I'm leaving a new comment as I hit the last 10 minutes of the video. I'm a 2D animator for television, and I've been listening to this video while doing work for a few days now. I really loved it, and your closing comments of the "who would be in a new Nicktoons Unite" section made me reflect. I do edutainment-y stuff for Canadian television, you can check out Riley Rocket if you want, I'm Isabella Deschamps in the credits. And that show is.... fine! It was fun, inclusive and cool. Aimed at a bit of a younger audience. But... nothing has any staying power anymore. I have no clue if Riley will ever see a season 2. And since you mentioned this one, one of my buddies from college actually worked on Rock Paper Scissors! He hasn't had any work in a few months now. Almost everyone I know in my field don't have jobs right now, some haven't for months or years now. I'm really sad about it. The adult animation field has been... okay, lately, despite some massive upsets (a lot of my friends lost jobs when Inside Job got cancelled. I'm still heartbroken, loved that show). It's great that adult animation has been doing fine lately. But I feel like no one wants to tell good stories for kids anymore. What even is there nowadays to capture their minds and imaginations? I genuinely don't know !! I feel like nothing *I'm* doing is gonna be hitting that mark. I'm working on a different show that has the same vibes and I'm just like... bleh. Nothing here is memorable or zany or interesting. I'm not really allowed to let characters express emotions that are "too negative". Maybe in 15 or 20 years, there will be a Riley Rocket video essay with 100 comments about people remembering that show but ultimately forgetting it. I just don't know. ... I love my job, I've only been doing it for 2 years, but I really desperately hope that in my lifetime I will get to work on shows that will inspire the "next" Nicktoons Unite. Hi unfortunately i am extremely autistic about danny phantom and vlad actually happens to be my favorite character, so just a little correction: the whole bit about his castle now being in amityville is correct, cuz vlad lives in madison, wisconsin and that is where his castle is located, so it is not actually an error, however danny calling him "that guy" is wild when he had an entire mean nickname for the guy throughout the show (fruit loop)

My favourite part of Danny Phantom lore is how Butch Hartman got way more religious after the show ended, so he basically had to retcon the fact there were any actual ghosts or depictions of the afterlife in the series. I like it, because it kinda implies that the intended implication used to be that Danny Phantom is set in a universe where only Hell is real, and God might as well not exist.

Ok, now that I’ve reached the end of the video, I feel like I need to say this, despite the fact that it will probably disappear in the sea of comments: I found the Victorious videos first and I started watching them in the background while I painted my nails. I had never watched a single episode of Victorious. Yet I binged the whole thing, then went back to watch the iCarly ones (I also had never watched iCarly). You see, what made me stay was how funny and charismatic you are - you have no idea how hard I laughed at the box pinboard segment of this video, btw. And that’s not gonna change, whether you take one week or one year to post, and whether you post a 10 minutes or a 10 hours video. I like your content. I hope you feel some of the love I have for it. I think people who complain about quinton having absurdly long videos where he just recaps episode plots have never watched anything he's actually made in good faith. Because the actual plot recaps are minimal and he usually talks about the production behind the scenes, whatever toys or merchandise is out when it was popular, tie-in games, online side content. Hell, he literally recreated a lost pilot to give more context for Sam and Cat's existence as a show. One doesn't have to like his analysis, but it is there. And that alongside all of the obvious effort that goes into just editing a multi hour project, I feel it shows how much passion he has for what he makes. Ill be happy to see whatever comes next, no matter how long or comparatively short they may be

Really, I think what Plankton provides to the evil team in these games is his ability to do incredible things with a budget. Like, sure his main motivation is to steal a sandwich, but he also goes to insane lengths to get it and his actual thing funding these insane exploits is his massively unsuccessful fast food business. He builds advanced technology out of basically nothing for what it costs to make a ham sandwich. As for Crocker, what he has to contribute is that he knows how magic works, how to combat it, and how to use it. Without him, Timmy could reasonably solo all of them.

For some behind the scenes context: Unite was made in about 12 months, Volcano Island was made in 10 months, and Toybots was made in 9 months. Incinerator was hired to make Globs of Doom in September 2007 before Toybots even released later in October so I guess NIck and THQ were just THAT confident it was gonna sell well regardless of quality... then Globs aparently finished development in August 2008 meaning it was made in 11 months, so any way you look at it Toybots really was the most rushed game of the entire series.

Steve from Blue's Clues WAS actually on Young Sheldon (my mom was binge watching it on Netflix recently). He plays a weird grown up nerd friend of Young Sheldon who loves Star Trek and takes him to cons. Young Sheldon meets him over the early internet. I feel like, after watching the intro to all the shows, Jimmy made it out the best out of all these nicktoons. Sponge is a shambling corpse, Danny had an abysmal final season and Timmy had multiple.

Watching the end of this one was so bizarre, like I've been joyfully watching each video that comes out for a few years noww and enjoying the long slow burn yet really cohesive narrative archs within each of them and then the overall narrative arch across all them, and just- I had no idea there was such vitriol surrounding them! A predator?? Why?? Well, whatever, I really enjoy Quinton's expression and style, happy to see where he takes it next, assuming his family finds him.

I always appreciated how cohesive volcano islands level progression. Island shore to beach to shipwreck. Even the Fetid forest starts off in the woods, to a farm and then to the mines. Even as kid I noticed this game had an especially great atmosphere, though I didn't know how to articulate it.

interesting fact about that box: While shooting "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers," Aragorn (Viggo Mortensen), Legolas (Orlando Bloom), and Gimli (John Rhys-Davies) think some of their companions are dead, and Aragorn kicks one of those Mr. Snuggles boxes in anger. Mortensen broke his toe with that kick, and his scream of pain in the scene is real.

10/10 dad, you can tell he either thinks the bit at the beginning is dumb as hell but is going along with it to spend time with his son OR he loves it so much he can barely contain his laughter, i cant tell which, but dude the little headshake at "my son has been missing for a week" sent me harder than i can explain

One of the reasons I watch your stuff is just that I like seeing *you* talk about these things in general, whatever it is. I think you should take care of yourself; make as much as you want, about whatever you want, as long as you want. It's cool having your videos to watch, but I'd be happiest knowing the creator I enjoy is happy, both with the work he makes and outside of that work.
