thank you soo much, i have been trying to use material id for my model and its very glitchy and just plain ass to use if the model is somewhat complex

How to merge all these maps into one? I mean one normal, ambient etc.

I do believe Mixer can do it. If not there's a few tools to channel pack out there. You want to pack them like so R - Ambient Occlusion G - Roughness G - Metallic This will create an ARM texture.

"from here we can channel pack" How do you recommend we do this? It looks like it was very easy in older versions of mixer, which is how I found this video. GIMP is just a massive headache since even the most recent tutorials on packing don't work. It's technically possible in blender but you need to do some weird conversions apparently? I'm losing my mind here I thought this would be absurdly straightforward. Great content, would love even a comment pointing me in the direction of how to channel pack because apparently this is some kind of eldritch technique that mere mortals can't perform. Idk if this reads as annoyed with you but it shouldn't. I am monumentally pissed that I can't texture pack though so you mentioning it made me think to ask if you know how.

Yeah I never showed how to channel pack. There's a few different ways to do it. You can channel pack with Quixel/Bridge and I'll link to the documentation on how to get it to do it on Export. You can use Gimp but as you said it can be a bit of a finicky little thing about it. I also linked to a program called TextureMerge which can do it all for you as well. Some notes on channel packing. Probably the best method is ARM(Ambient Occlusion, Roughness, Metallic) gives you the best result overall. No sadly I haven't made that yet! I believe I was waiting on something before the UDIM. There is documentation on Mixer's official channel on how to do it. But thank you for reminding me.

@@raven67854 thanks brother, I was just looking for a way to combine multi udims in one UV image so I can easily setup the materials inside Unreal engine as you know Mixer export many maps for each material so it's time consuming 💔
