Why? Because villains make good targets for us? Why do you assume we need targets at all? Is your view of human nature really that bleak? "Why, yes, because in the long run nothing we do matters." On Sept. 26, 1983, then Lt. Col. Stanislav Petrov of the Soviet Union's missile corps refused to be stampeded into answering an American "attack" on his homeland. He turned out to be right -- there was no attack, just a glitch in the system -- and by his "inaction" he prevented World War III and saved us all. "Well, average humans are selfish and not heroic at all." On May 26, 2018, then 22-year-old Malian migrant Mamoudou Gossama scrambled up the face of a four-story apartment at 51 rue Marx-Dormoy in Paris' 18th arrondissement to save a four-year-old boy before he could fall to his death. Asked about it later, the "Spider-Man of Paris" said he saw the boy's plight and simply couldn't bear to stand by and leave him to his doom. An average man. But he did a heroic thing. "Villains make more sense than heroes." Since when? Would you rather have had Lt. Col. Petrov launch his missiles and kill us all? Or would you rather than young Gossama had walked on by and let that baby fall? Why exactly do you find villains more attractive than heroes? And please don't tell me it's because heroes are boring. Was Petrov's story boring? Or Gossama's?

It's scary that every villain's actually makes sense and has a point
@seanbigay1042
@seanbigay1042 7 ай бұрын
I find it scarier that people actually seem to like villains more than they do heroes. As for the villains' having a point ... the villains still have to be stopped. Old Yeller wasn't a villain at all, he was a hero who got sick. The poor dog still had to be shot.
@Vhaal97
@Vhaal97 6 ай бұрын
@@seanbigay1042 Old Yeller is a dog who got ill. Villains aren't sick; they are products of what heroes try to protect, a.k.a. the status quo. The heroes don't fix the issue; they maintain it. Gotham City never got better with Batman. It only festered with more advanced, extreme, and deranged villains to the point that it became a cyberpunk dystopia. Bruce Wayne could have fixed Gotham with the political power, money, might and being from the right family. Instead, he ran around at 4am playing hero in spandex with children. Superman is another one. Lex Luther was a genius who cared about the advancement of humanity, but he was sidelined because Superman fulfilled the role he was meant to. Lex Luthor would have become a different man if Superman had never come to Earth. Earth would not have been continually endangered by extraterrestrial threats from Krypton and the Phantom Zone, Zod, Doomsday, Brainiac, etc. Wonder Women is another one; the world would have been better if she stayed on her island and forgotten; the world was just fine before she decided to leave her island, upsetting the power dynamic of the globe, and the same could have been said about Atlantis now becoming superpowers in their own right and challenging the US as the world hegimone. The Green Lantern Core is another one; this is an extraterrestrial paramilitary police force that forces Earth to obey laws they never agreed to, agnolidged or was even aware of because space gnomes decided it was so, abducting and indoctrinating denizens from each sector into becoming their soldiers to maintain their idea of galactic order, then propagating the existence of the other cores which either turned pure evil such as the red and yellow. To begin with, the blue and pink are brainwashed into becoming lanterns through mind control and alteration, such as making people feel things too keenly or enforcing morality upon individuals who might have otherwise disagreed by rewiring their brains. The problem with heroes is that they are villains, forcing their ideals and way of life upon everyone, exacerbating the issue that could have been solved without bloodshed. Still, now you have metahumans throwing cars at each other.

This shows why heroes think they are doing whats right, but when the villian says to them about reailty, moral code, and society, the hero deep down won't acknowledge they were right all along they just tell em to be quite which makes them the same as the ones that mistreat the villian. Society in the end won't even thank the hero, they just cast them out, fear them, jealously, and so on.

I feel like Homelander shouldn't be on here. The guy's kind of... raped Butcher's wife for fun, kills for no reason, has a god complex, an inferiority complex, daddy issues, mommy issues. He's basically an emotional child with high intelligence and almighty powers. It's kinda seen when he drinks milk, often viewing it as breast milk. And that creates for a very bad and scary villain.

I think a lot of people miss the point with these videos. It shows that basically, anyone could have been the villain had they chose to be. What makes a villain a villain and a hero a hero is how they deal with the pain and suffering they've experienced and endured. It's not to say the villains aren't right to feel what they feel, but they are wrong for how they addressed those feelings.

Somebody said, "As kids we learnt to adore the heroes. As adults we began to understand the villains." Which is all right, I guess. But when you start to admire and even agree with them? That's a whole other can of worms. Remember, most of The Boys' super-heroic "feats" are carefully contrived publicity stunts. When Homelander and Queen Maeve had to face an actual crisis, an airliner about to crash, they botched it so badly they wound up SHOOTING THE PLANE DOWN THEMSELVES. That's inexcusable, no matter what issues they're dealing with.

Villians aren't right and they aren't wrong. It's the spectrum of existence. Chaos goes against order because if order was the only force nothing would grow, die, return to ashes to be allow something else to be reborn. Order is stagnation and chaos is movement. You have to have both in order to have life. If you only have chaos, then nothing thrives and finds its place. That's where order allows us to thrive, define, and adapt. So why villains may make sense for a minute. Their still products of warped views that were allowed to stagnate to the point that when chaos broke that stagnation they couldn't adapt.

Good people, and “good people”. If you’re good, you never get the spotlight. The other, they do what only benefits them. People only see one side, I can see both, see their pastimes. All of it, I skill I had to learn. But this isn’t about me, no, it’s about “good people”. “Good people”. They preach about love and faith, yet all their beliefs are rooted in hate. They only do things to benefit them. If people never thought, they’d run us like machines. Many might appose. But who are your heroes truly? Some guy you met at school who you’ve known all you r life, who you known they are good I’m your book. Or some man who preaches with wars. Who defends them like a mindless animal. Many say their friend. Others, people like Biden, Biden’s not bad, just needs direction. Like cattle. I only speak from observation. So, do not hate a truth, whether mine, or yours:
