Actually the Bible is better than any hadith. The Bible is at least acknowledged and recognized in the Qur'an as being sent from God. God sent the Torat to Musa and the Injil to Isa. God never sent anything to Bukhari or Muslim.

And if you feel that way about it ,it shows your lack of trust in gods prophets to carry out their duty which is borderline heresy, put into contrast still on the topic of your line of thinking -Moses writing the 10 commandments adds nothing to its credibility???? totally agree brother, totally agree. When I say to them that ahadith are not the word of Allah, they say then how the Quran was preserved, I say by Allah (Allah preserves the Quran). Then they say no, the Quran was preserved like ahadith (by men). In other words they are like the disbelievers, is not what Allah had said but that was a made man invented book. They dont believe that the Quran was preserved by Allah like their garbage ahadith.

Peace brother - ask your Sunni friends to provide you a single Hadith that explains how to do the Salat from start to finish with all the steps and statements. Such a Hadith does not exist. Even if they compiled all the Hadiths it would not give an exact account how to do the Salat, but will actually cause more confusion as the narrations contradict one another. The reality is that all the practices of Islam (Salat, Zakat, Hajj, Fasting) all came from Abraham. This is why the prophet was told to follow the religion of Abraham (16:123). Abraham was the one who was taught these practices and these practices were all in existence at the time of the prophet and then passed down from generation to generation in a truly mass transmitted fashion (mutwatir), unlike the Hadith corpus that was fabricated many years after the prophet's death. Also, the Quran is not a dictionary. It expects that when it commands the believers to observe the Salat and to give the Zakat that these were practices that are already understood by the audience. If they were something that people would not know then the Quran would specify the details.

The question is how did you come to know that it was part of Abraham's religion? And how do you know that they used to perform the above-mentioned things as we do today? Again you will have to rely on some other books than the Quran to know how the followers of Abraham's religion used to pray, perform hajj, and other things. Peace - this is in the meaning of millat Ibrahim. All the religious practices given to Muhammad came from Abraham. This is stated in the Quran (14:40, 21:73). Also, as stated in my original reply, most of the Quran is written, expecting the audience to know the meaning of what is being discussed. If there is an unfamiliar concept brought up in the Quran, then it clarifies it (See 83:8, 83:19, 86:2,101:10,104:5). This is not the case for Salat and Zakat, which means that this is an understood concept. The function of the Quran is to purify and settle matters that have been altered or concealed. So when the Quran commands the believers to perform these things, we simply take the practice and filter it through the Quran to get it back to its original form.
