Wayne Denning grew up in a small mining town in Central Queensland, and was the first person in his family to go to university. He graduated from QUT in 2006 with a MBA (Business, Entrepreneurship, Strategy and Corporate Governance), and also holds a Bachelor of Arts (Sociology, Psychology and Political Geography) from CQU. He established Carbon Media in 2006, and is the owner and managing director of the Brisbane-based digital content company.
Wayne currently sits on the National Film and Sound Archive of Australia Board, the Brisbane Writers Festival Board and is the Chair of the Brisbane Festivals Indigenous Advisory Group.
