With his new short film “CHINO” just recently released on his own KZfaq channel, it was ONLY RIGHT that the RSG Legend himself “R.A” passed through the RTM settings to receive some long awaited and well deserved flowers for his contribution to the UK music scene before and after he spent over a decade locked up behind bars. It’s a testament to his character that he’s able to continue with life without being justifiably bitter.
For Season 9 Episode 5 (Squashing Beef), it was time for the REALEST and FUNNIEST part of the PR run! We had a tough task of changing R.A’s straight face but it was always inevitable on the RTM sofa as jokes are never far!
After talking us through his life story so far including school days, joining the ‘Roadside G’s’ collective, how and why he received his I.P.P sentence, acting, making his own films and a lot more; we put him through his ‘RTM Fire Round’ before getting into some ‘Current Affairs’ followed by a break for some ‘RTM Banter.’
The main subject was “Squashing Beef” which enabled us to have a transparent and thought provoking discussion. The ‘RTM Dilemma’ and ‘Book Suggestion’ closed the show as usual along with some ‘RIP’s and 3’s’. A much needed Realer Than Most conversation so make sure you don’t miss it!

Icl, Winners Talking is good because they make their guests more comfortable by asking soft-ball questions but RTM bangs because they ask about the nitty-gritty situations people really wanna hear about. I like how Spray will ask questions that are tekky but entertaining. Doug and Pounds tend to gloss over the dramas their guests have been in.

Winners pod is more about 'what are you doing now to succeed' and how are you getting it in.. less about the street details. More so motivational. Both cross over in some ways but have their own place and are for the prodominantly 'Black Brit' Afro Caribbean culture. But obvi as our community tends to do we invite everyone.... hence people like MdotR but anyways... And the message in both is clear the road lifestyle is dead. Nothing wrong with being a warrior, being ready for anything and standing on principles.

You can deffo tell R.A has matured and relaxed alot compared to his younger years. Ratings for not giving any fuel to the young teflon scenario even tho it did happen lol.
