Mako: You are a very amazing and a very brave person. You not only show the world that as a 16 years old girl you could overcome all the unimaginable difficulties including languages and cultural barriers by yourself but also encourage the younger generations not to be afraid to go to whatever countries to learn and do whatever skills that they are interested in. Best of all, as a young Japanese female, you are very open-minded to discuss the sensitive subject of 南京大屠殺 without dennying it as most of the Japanese government officials do. I will show my respect to you.

Just discovered this channel recently. So that's how your Mandarin could be so natural (more standard than my southern accent). I myself came from Hong Kong and started high school in the US, and later learned Mandarin from friends and coworkers from China and Taiwan as well. I studied some Japanese when I was 13 and it was my college minor. I still listen to and read Japanese pretty much every day, but far from fluent (only spoke Japanese to locals on my 1 week trip to Japan). It's definitely easier when you live and immerse yourself in that environment daily. Still hoping to speak Japanese fluently some day lol. Your Chinese is amazing like a native 日本語も中国語もそんなにペラペラに話せるなんて羨ましいです。
Thank you Mako san, I am a Canadian Chinese RETIRED IN Taiwan, i FOUND YOUR videos very interesting, especially your saga of learning Chinese and English, that's how I like to learn the language as well, keep it up Girl.
