Just be sure that everything he had to be praised for was given by God. And we too, in fellowship with the Holy Spirit have every rich gift in Christ Jesus. I loved R. C Sproul!!

Just today - I found a website called exposittheword.com and RC does Romans verse by verse. incredible. there are additional expository preachers there as well.

I found the question about what it is like to be persecuted very interesting and helpful. If you live in countries where most people are Christians, you might not know what it is like to be hated and persecuted because of Christ. I encourage everyone to read about Richard and Sabina Wurmbrand, and their foundation called Voice of the Martyr. They posted frequently about the persecuted saints of present time and ask for prayer. You may be able to help them financially as well.

All I do it seems is cry for the love of this precious man and his wisdom and compassion for people . I was told as a child I only had a half cell for my brain , so Pastor Sproul when it’s my time for heaven you will have to repeat for me , love Luba🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

What a giant intellect and devoted man of God. There are a few points on which I disagree with Dr. Sproul but have not abandoned my search for knowledge. We lost a true treasure and I look forward to speaking with R.C. in heaven.

I believe that God told humans His Story (Plan?) in a simple way for simple and worldly minded people, and there is much more the we will only know at His Will, when and if we are ready to understand heavenly thought.

Probably one of the most reasoned and fair definitions of Theonomy that would come from Dr. Sproul about the movement. And quite accurate though I am sure proponents of the position would like to elaborate and take it further to better understand it. For anyone interested I would direct you to the writings of RJ Rushdooney as well as Dr. Greg Bahnsen with regards to explaining the subject to its fullest. For modern adherents I would suggest looking into the ministry of American Vision. The dynamic relationship between Law and Grace is not always easy to reconcile for the Christian and I believe that further investigation in this area would bear fruit (It has for me) and may be why RC answered the way that he did.

A good question to ferret out regarding Catholic baptism, may be: if the Protestant church has recognized the Catholic tradition as Apostate, then is it even possible for them to administer the sacrament?

R.C. didn’t say it directly but God has only one will. The simplicity of God demands that God have but one will. Yet as R.C. explained, from our vantage point we can and should distinguish various aspects of God’s will like the will of prescription, and will of decree.

Why did RC never debate? The Basics:. "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ (NOW!) and thou shalt be saved." Rejecters will not be. Why wouldn't the myriads of similar verses not say "those chosen to believe at creation will be saved"? Because it would be an accursed predestined different gospel! Those that do believe are predestined to be conformed to Christ's image. Believe and trust the Bible, not men! Let God be true and every man a liar!

Both theonomy and theocracy is inescapable for everyone! There are no vacuums when it comes to legislated morality or what's, more often than not, immorality. Consequently, a nation's foundational ethical standard determines its God. Thus, there is likewise no vacuums when it comes to religious-influenced governments, be it even Secular Humanism in its multifaceted forms, and it usually is. When one understands that idolatry is not so much about statues as it is statutes, it becomes clear that all governments are theocratic (god ruled), serving either the true God or some false god, demonstrated by what laws they keep and consider the supreme law of the land. Question: Were the governments in the Old Testament under the god Baal (or any other false god named in the Old Testament) theocracies? Answer: Of course, they were. Question: Was Baal (or any other god named in the Bible) real or were they merely ancient forms of We the People? Answer: Merely ancient forms of We the People. See 1 Corinthians 8:4-6. Consequently: "...There is no escaping theocracy [or theonomy]. A government’s laws reflect its morality, and the source of that morality (or, more often than not, immorality) is its god. It is never a question of theocracy or no theocracy, but whose theocracy. The American people, by way of their elected officials, are the source of the Constitutional Republic’s laws. Therefore, the Constitutional Republic’s god is WE THE PEOPLE. "People recoil at the idea of a theocracy’s morality being forced upon them, but because all governments are theocracies, someone’s morality is always being enforced. This is an inevitability of government. The question is which god, theocracy, laws, and morality will we choose to live under?..." @@zachhale5461 A friend couldn't answer my question "why did Christ die?" She is a nonpracticing Roman Catholic and said purgatory is where she'll be purified. That is certainly a doctrine of demons.
