3:35 this is hilarious because I just got into bonsai and just this morning minutes before starging this video I was thinking about them and I realized "wait, I can bonsai an apple tree and have tiny apples growing on my dining table or something, holy shit. Or maybe pears or something, or tiny peaches". And now I'm so excited to try growing tiny fruit trees. And just for anyone actually curious, bonsai is literally just confining a normal tree to a pot so it never gets big, there's no difference in its genetics or anything like that. They just do everything they would do normally, but smol.

5:29 reminds me when my dad gave me my neighbor's old books about growing cannabis, and he'd gone through every single one and defaced any instance of "evolved" and replaced it with "developed" when the two words are literally synonyms, or a time peroid longer than 6000 years he'd just cross out and correct to "somewhere around 6000 years ago". He's such a freaking weirdo pretending to be into science but then refusing it all the time, that's why we're not even on speaking terms and I got those books through my dad. I could never stand being around him because there was never an intellectual discussion around the man, just him laughing in everyone's face and saying they're wrong and that he has this profound knowledge of the universe from God Himself. Post mortem distress birthing is an actual thing, in which after decomposition starts in the mother, a mixture of gas pressure and weak tissue pushes the baby (usually already deceased) out of the womb. It has NOTHING to do with wanting to kill your offspring, god knows what he was thinking
@runeanonymous97603 жыл бұрын
I think that it comes from a mangling of postpartum depression, which I think is caused by the hormones crash or something? And sometimes the mother has intrusive thoughts about killing the kid, but those just cause feelings of guilt, which further compounds the distress at being unable to form an emotional bond with the infant.
