Fyi, the “recess is the teacher’s break” thing is far from the truth. We gotta constantly watch those kids because we can’t leave kids unsupervised. Outclass periods like P.E., Music, and Art are the closest to a break the general edu teachers get, and they usually spend that time catching up on grades. Lunch break isn’t even a true break.

Yeah, recess at any school I've worked at includes yard duty, which means teachers don't get their 'required break' every day. Though an argument could be made it exists to provide a chance to go to the bathroom, because most schools try to manage to let you do so during recess even if on yard duty. Of course even if not on yard duty chances are the teacher is working on something.

If anyone wants to know: for the math problem at 5:52, the reason the division does not work is because crossing a value out on both sides of an equation is shorthand for dividing both sides of the equation by the same number. However, at least for the set of complex numbers, dividing by 0 creates a mess of contradictions that have not been solved. Therefore, crossing 0 out on both sides of the equation, or dividing by 0 on both sides of the equation, is actually not allowed and would lead to incorrect answers.

Note: I said “at least for the system of complex numbers,” but I don’t actually think there’s any system where you can divide by 0, even in Boolean math. Therefore, I think dividing by 0 is never okay - unless a mathematician could chime in, please? I’m just a math student.

17:36 as someone who works in Foster care i'd say it's about 50/50. In my time working here there was only one case of a child who was taken away becouse of something like this, in all other cases the kids were either just abused or the parents went to prison/died. And most Foster care workers i've worked with were lovable people who treat those kids like their own. Altho there were a few instances where that wasn't the case, but the people were quickly fired in those cases. In my experience nuns are the worst, here in my Town theres one Foster home that's lead by nuns and whenever any of the Foster families hear that a kid is about to get sent there people almost fight to get that kid just so they don't end up there with the nuns

As a foster kid of...several foster homes (read: dozens. ) uh.... well I didn't get taken away because my mom was good but poor, but I definitely didn't live better my entire time through cps. I was abused in almost every foster home, and while some did get removed from their roles as foster parents eventually, some still work in the field to this day. I eventually got placed in legal guardianship and they *were even worse*. I have dents in my skull among ither things from them, and was left on the side of i40 to figure it out. Ended up in foster care *again* and finally got extremely lucky to have strict but very kind and caring foster parents, and through them met their friends who eventually became my moms when they adopted me at *16*. I'm unsure what state you're in but I can say with confidence the state of cps and cyfd in New Mexico is absolutely dogshit 75% of the time, and more than half the foster parents are either as bad or worse than the situation they were taken out of. Don't get me wrong, I'd have probably died on the streets at 6 if the cops hadn't picked me up and took me to a cyfd building, but I sure didn't live very well while in the system either.

That's not accurate, Americans have a great songs that's why Michael Jackson is so popular everywhere and why American music is popular in Japan and a large part of the world. Also, Japanese urban legends aren't that scary because they mostly deal with ghosts. If you are afraid of ghosts, you will find that scary. American urban legends focus on unknowable but physical threats. I think I remember reading something about it reflects what culturally is viewed as frightening. Japanese are afraid of ghosts because of sins of the past or whatever, but Americans are afraid of the unknown causing harm, which is why our urban legends focuses on things that work in the shadows that will absolutely wreck your shit. I'm not afraid of a ghost, but I am afraid of some motherfuking creature coming out of the Backwoods to the absolutely air out my family and I.

For those out of the loop of the at 20:15, It is impossible to have water in the Nether unless you played it in a snapshot where Glow Lichens convert Lava into Water, thus the Turtle Helmet here, which provides Respiration. If one of my brethren appoints himself to interrogate the entire office about their weed usage, he absolutely deserves to have a cell phone hidden above his desk and to get messages about poisoned coffee sent to him from his alleged future self. And if he believes those messages, that's on him. Discrimination didn't cause that.

Depends, not in the US. You go to the cafeteria or outside and leave them alone. Maybe in Preschool but Elementary onward (Grade 1 to 5 here) you don't bug your teachers during Recess/Lunch.

@@airacummins5076 Interesting :o In my school we would just hang out in the cafeteria, there'd be security people but no teachers just us making noise and then in high school you'd be allowed to go out for lunch to like a fast food place nearby if you were good enough.

@@airacummins5076 We called it recess but it was really just lunch, depending on the grade you'd get more freedom but for the most part you just stayed in the cafeteria. Again, never in a teacher's room, and no teachers supervised us just security people. I should also mention that here we have a "period" system, and Lunch is its dedicated time slot halfway through the day. I dunno if that makes a difference.
